druneave3ParticipantPer @GoodmanCBS “Been told Andrew Wiggins has canceled his home visits with Kansas, UNC and Florida State early this week.”
What does this mean? Could all that UK talk around McDonald’s game changed his mind. I though FSU was a lock, but this could be interesting.

mawi7056ParticipantIt doesn’t necessarily mean he is set on Kentucky. What it does mean is that he has made up his mind and no in home visits or further recruitment will alter his current college choice.

220ParticipantIt certainty makes it appear that Wiggins is going to UK. Having to play and compete against a ton of McDonald’s all Americans in a dayly basis should be a benefit to him.

“Playing against the best I get to see what they do that makes them elite,” he says. “Some are better than me at different things, some are better shooters, some are better dribblers. I’m just trying to learn from my opponents so I can be better at different things and be a better player at all different aspects of the game.”
He was talking about the scrimmages/practices at the Hoop Summit.

alingeParticipantHis coach Rob Fulford has just tweeted this
“Andrew will be still be speaking with everyone by phone. Hasn’t made it in from Portland yet. Has been stuck in airports with cancellation”0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/22/2013 - 4:36am #765216

rwd5035ParticipantIf he goes to Kentucky, RIP everyone else.
Harrison, Harrison, Wiggins, Randle, Wiltjer/Johnson?
Good luck.

SubZeroParticipantPlus James Young (possibly the best pure scorer in this HS class), Willie Cauley-Stein, Alex Poythress, and Marcus Lee

phila9012ParticipantIf calipari can get to a point where top 15 players are going there knowing they will be or have a chance at having to come off the bench for a year before they start then Kentucky will be in position to win the championship every year. If James Young is your sixth man and Poythress and WCS or Johnson are your 7th and 8th men you should win the title. That is a rotation of 8 NBA players. So they will play hard every game and practice knowing that if they dont they will lose their spot.

fcb206ParticipantI agree, this time last year, Noel was being talked about as better than Davis, and Harrison, Goodwin and Poythress were all projected as top lottery picks in the 2013 draft and everyone was talking repeat. They ended up getting bounced early in the NIT. Granted I think this class is stonger than that one, but seriously. Its a long time before march, 2014. These kids are still nothing but prospects. Lets see UK play a few games first.

rwd5035ParticipantUnless I’m oblivious to what was said last year about the incoming UK class, I hardly remember anyone with any sort of reputation for scouting prospects that Noel was better than Davis or that UK would repeat. It was a surprise they weren’t better but UK was not going to repeat.

Professor RozayParticipantI really don’t want him to go to UK but if he does that will be a very strong team next year. They will be solid at every position on the floor. If he went to UNC or FSU we would get to see him and Parker go at each other during the college season which would be nice. But for what it is worth I think that Kansas would be a good choice. Add Wiggins to that incoming class and they are going to be a very good team. That class is strong right now and with the players coming back they are going to be solid. But add Wiggins in to that line up and you have something cooking right there…

theballerwayParticipantschedule for him read he hasnt been back top his school in over 3 weeks. ansd that he was hoping for some ‘me’ tme. kids probably drained espeially with that spotlight.
I wont speculate on a destination though, I just cant call it.

ThepessimestParticipant…that Wiggins has a “blend in” type personality (speaking from my selfish point of view). We may not know the true essence of his talents playing with an all star team and he can sometimes float. The upside is that he does practice against the top talent and everyone will improve as a result.
Playing with other great players and understanding how to be a great teammate and do things for the teams success is invaluable.

samosasParticipantIt doesn’t mean anything that he canceled the visits other than he isn’t going visit. I would say it has precisely 0 impact on where he ends up. He’s probably tired of all the swooning BS everyone is giving him and just wants to chill out for a while.

Tiger1313ParticipantI really don’t know what I’d like to see. No bias here(Illinois fan) but if Wiggins goes to Kentucky we have the chance to see possibly 8-9 1st rounders playing together on the same team and complete dominance. If he goes to FL St. we could see him turn around a program(in a sense) and dominate and how cool would it be to see him go to FL St. then knock off Kentucky in the tournament or something? College basketball will be great next year that’s for sure.

machu46ParticipantI’m interested to see what Kentucky does with their rotation next season. Just seems incredible to me to think that Calipari is going to try to juggled like 10 studs’ egos for an entire season. I just can’t imagine a way in which somebody doesn’t end up throwing a bitch fit over playing time or not enough touches.

RafterParticipantGotta hand it to the media, twisting stories to create drama and prolong suspense. I can’t wait to watch this movie, oh wait it’s real life. I despise how the media tries to turn sport into a form of soap opera it’s like a bunch of people got fired from their jobs at Hollywood and moved into sports. It’s similar to the video game industry but that’s another can of worms.
