Why Wiggins should go to UNC

I know I'm going to get some negs for this...and I'm not a UNC fan. (I dislike duke and UNC) but for the rivalry he can make with Jabari. The league has been looking for a new Magic vs Bird and Bron vs Melo hasn't lived to the same expectation as far as the rivalry. They will make a ton of $$ commercials, video games, endorsements, etc. they can make a ton of $$$ but it has to start now, like magic and bird did in college....

Development

I just want Wiggins to go to the program that will give him the best chance at developing into an NBA star. I'm leaning towards Kentucky because the practices with the other phenoms could be really intense and beneficial for his long term upside.

No doubt that the Wiggins/Parker rivalry would be a lot of fun if he chooses UNC though.

Everytiime I see

Whenever I see Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker, I see Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony... It definitely can end up being that type of rivalry

If he goes to any ACC school

If he goes to any ACC school he will play Duke twice. So he'd get the same rivalry if he went to FSU. Also whatever school he chooses will probably play a lot of the top teams on national tv because of wiggins popularity.

Actually that isn't true you

Actually that isn't true you don't automatically play every team in your conference two times. In fact FSU only played Duke once this season. Duke and UNC play twice every year because it is such a great rivalry...that is exactly why he should go to UNC.

From a basketball standpoint it would also benefit him going to UK because their practices will be highly competitive. I just don't want him to go to UK because they already have an exciting enough team next year. They will likely be ranked preseason #1 and have 8 potential first round picks on their roster already. If he goes to UNC they go from a team to watch in the ACC to a legit Final 4 contender.

i dont know i mean as much as

i dont know i mean as much as he has ties to FSU, i cant really picture him going there. and kentucky is so loaded coming in, UNC is definitely not a bad choice. I mean i would say if he chose kentucky that very well looks like a national championship in the bag if i ever saw 1. but unc would be a cool choice. and your right. the whole duke/unc thing would be awesome

UNC will

UNC provides Wiggins with an opportunity to match up with Parker potentially up to 3x, and not to mention there is the match-up with UK.

With the Duke and UK game, he can play against essentially all the legitimate contenders for the #1 spot (Randle, Parker, Harrison..etc). I think this would really intrigue such a competitive kid like AW. I really feel he would rather beat the best than join the best. I hope I'm right.

And if UNC returns McAdoo, Bullock, and Hairston and adds Wiggins, you're looking at this roster:

Marcus Paige (So)
Reggie Bullock (Sr)
Andrew Wiggins (Fr)
PJ Hairston (Jr)
James Michael McAdoo (Jr)

Bench:
Leslie McDonald (5 yr senior)
Isaiah Hicks (Fr)
Brice Johnson (So)
Kennedy Meeks (Fr)
Joel James (So)
JP Tokoto (So)
Desmond Hubert (Jr)
Nate Britt (Fr)
Jackson Simmons (So)

That's a really, really good team in my opinion that could certainly compete for the natty

I don't see jabari on wiggins

I don't see jabari on wiggins level but it would be fun to watch. Wiggins locked him up in his hometown and usually I don't put much in this type of setting. However, jabari was playing as hard as he could and Wiggins seemed to still coast and dominated the match-up. These are nowhere near the same prospects. They may put up similar stats in college but there will be a big diff in the league. No slight to jabari but I don't know that he is clear cut better than Stanley Johnson and rashad Vaughn. Harry Giles is the next Wiggins-like prospect.

How is Lebron v Carmelo an

How is Lebron v Carmelo an actual rivalry? Carmelo is not on Lebron's leve as far as post-season success. Carmelo has made to the conference finals.....once. That's not nocking Carmelo, because he was out in a DEEP western conference for a while, and Lebron is always in the east.Still, last year, Miami v New York wasn't competitive.

I didn't say Melo and Bron

I didn't say Melo and Bron was a rivalry. But the media over hyped it so much when Melo was in Denver. Trying to say it's the new Magic vs Bird. If they meet in the Eastern Confrence Finals it will build up steam again..watch and see.
