Why is Josh McRoberts starting?
what do yall think about Zach Randolph in Indy next year. Collison - Rush/George - Granger - Z-Bo - Hibbert would look like a pretty nice team in the east...
It wouldn't be bad, but Z-Bo wants a long term deal, seeing as his stock is pretty high and so is his age, he's going to want a 5yr deal, making him a liability down the road. And just like he did earlier in his career, new contract, get fat and lazy again.
I know its an oxymoron, but Brandon Rush is the best shot blocking shooting guard in the league. He's total trade bate, but he's leagues better than Paul George and Lance...right now, at least.
Wow, off topic by the third post. My only guess is that they feel McRoberts is a better uptempo player with more upside that they hope to develop. He probably shows glimpses with his highlight dunks and practice play, but just never quite puts it together in the games.
Not everything a player does shows up in the box score. McRoberts has good court vision, defends and runs the floor. He may not be up for any MIP awards, but is doing something right to get playing time.
It may have to do with the fact that Hansborough is much more stable mentally and won't let coming off the bench affect him. I think putting McRoberts back on the bench would make his confidence completely spiral down, whereas Hansborough is a guy who will play all out and be aggressive no matter what. Who knows.
@vote4darko
Ummmm what year did zach become fat and lazy as you say? His weight and effort has been the same from day one and his numbers have never dropped dramatically at any point in his career
Could you stop
Making stuff up
The season he signed his new contract he put up
18 and 9. The next year he put up 23 and 10. Wow he sure did pull and eddy curry huh
People can say he's not the best defender and he has shown poor decisions off court but you won't find someone who's followed his career ever say he's lazy and doesn't do work when he's out there on the court
Hansbrough isn't ... (WOW BLAKE GRIFFIN is amazing... Dunk of the year on Mozgov.)
Back to what I was saying though... McRoberts isn't good, but he's a better fit in the starting lineup than Hansbrough. Hansbrough isn't that good either. He just runs around and bangs into people. Physcho T is literally a great name for him.

I haven't seen any Pacers games but from the boxscores he doesn't look impressive. Hansbrough is doing more off the bench than him even though they play around the same amount of minutes.
