I'm getting tired of all you people saying, better then Chad Ford's Mock, or he doesn't know anything.
I remember when all of you threw a hissy fit because he had Deandre Jordan going in the second round ( guess what happened) or when he had Tyreke Evans at 4 and all of you were complaining Reke wasnt a point guard and wouldnt be a good fit there.
Just Relax he has more information then anyone of combined. If anything the GM's are just giving him information to smoke screen their pick.
So *cough* *cough* STFU.....No one really believes yours in better then CF's or that you actually do know more.
I don't agree with every pick Chad Ford makes, but I agree with most of them.
His mocks are generally the best and most informed, in my opinion.
He doesn't just copy what other mocks say, but actually formulates his own player projections.
You must be Chad Fordd's aunt
Nahh, Chad ford knows people. He got connections just like all the other espn guys. he is far more informed than all of us
Chad Ford know what a team may pick as it gets closer to the draft but to me he sucks a talent evaluator.
Some of his mock look very stupid because of this.
Chad Ford's early mocks are terrible. A good example of this is when he was hyping Jrue Holiday last year at 4 and then ended up well outside the lottery. He does do a good job about a week prior to the draft. But watch how far some of his players will drop from his first mock in May to his last mock on the day of the draft. Then I would recommend observing who the outliers were.
Holiday was the 2nd best PG in 2008 next to Brandon Jennings so it's not overhyping. it's giving the proper hype even if they don't live up to it. and he is the youngest player in the league so don't quit on Jru-Day.
As a sixers fan, I am praying that Jrue turns into a great pro. I think he will but there r just so many PG's right now.
And for the record, I hate Chad Ford.
The NBA draft is basically a month away. These are very early mocks, so why are people taking them so seriously?
I don't have a problem with Ford. Ford has a lot of access to agents, GM's, etc so he does have good information. I pay closer attention to the information than his picks as of right now.
But he does know about team needs and potential draft targets...Holiday could have went 10th to Milwaukee and been Jennings minus maybe that 50 point game...young toast of town guard leading the Deer's...i love the Bucks style and think Holiday and Jennings could have have traded places IMO...Philly almost stunted Holiday's growth with the Lou Williams / Allen Iverson experiment...Jrue is the future in Philly...Where Ford and me agree is that Sixers would rather have Favors if he is Rain Man 2 and him and Holiday become great 1/2 punch...But they shouldn't take him second when they can trade down to the Wolves for 4th and 16th...I think Nets take Cousins 3rd...He's a big risk but Russians love to gamble..no offense to my Russian friends..Favors and Henry would be a great draft day move...Holiday /Henry /Thad/Favors/Speights and Iguadola would give Collins a great young Core...Swap Favors for Cousin and it's just has good(barring any Eddie Curry scenario) IMO Turner is great(favorite player in the Draft!!!! But Philly has to trade him to Wolves for 4th and 16th...I stress...That is Fair but I would also ask for 23rd and offer 2011 first rounder(unprotected)...
Since most of the Bigs are going early Minny should just give up the number 4 and 16. They can get someone else with their later pick and not really lose too much ground. Minny wants Turners so make the move and then grab a small forward at 23. They also have a 2nd round pick for depth. If Minny makes this move they can come out with a solid draft and I will take back half of the bad things I said about David Kahn.
I'm not the worlds biggest Chad Ford fan, but I'm not gonna pretend I know more than he does or that I have better information. The draft is almost a month away and everyone is still trying to evaluate combine results, workouts, interviews and team needs. Chad Ford hits a lot of picks right on the money and he misses a few, just like every scout, he unlike us has inside information to base these picks, some things that we may think makes no sense he could have heard from people who actually work for NBA teams. The 1st round is going to change quite a bit over the next 3 weeks or so, I wouldn't read too much into mocks right now anyway, there will be a lot of movement as the draft approaches.
