SmooveKRYPTParticipantRose- pure point, Russy isn’t…YET.
Roy- this 1 isn’t even close to me…should be asking Joe Johnson instead of Mayo.
Melo- tough one, but can’t go againts playoffs in his rookie year.
Paul- I like speed over strength.
LeBron- all-around better player.
Harris- CLUTCH.
Martin- can score from all angles in all ways.
Kidd- better all around game.
Toss up…..Iggy- I just flipped a coinGarnett- best PF of his era, no explaination needed if you ask me.
Ford- so underrated, I’ve loved his game since Texas.
Jennings- this isn’t that close to me either.

D-Will, head to head dwill
Kobe, best overall player in the world
Harris, not underrated anymo
Kevin Martin, Redd past his prime
Nash, possibly 2 of the top 5 all time pgs
Caron Butler, very very close
Dirk, tough call, think KG has slipped a little altho still great
Ford, wish he was utilized properly, how bout tj to the knicks? him and mike d would be great together

NYK2010ParticipantWestbrook or Rose – Westbrook slight edge
Mayo or Roy – Roy not even close he’s All NBA 2nd team for a reason
Melo or Granger – Melo is improving and is more clutch, Granger just had that 1 elite year so far
Paul or D-Will – D-Will better 3 pt shooter & bigger body see playoffs last yr Paul vs. Billups
Lebron or Kobe – LeBron does it all and is a better all around player
Rondo or Harris – Rondo is a better defender
Redd or Kevin Martin – Kevin Martin he’s a more complete scorer
Nash or Kidd – Nash has been better ever since he left Dallas
Iguodala or Caron Butler – Iguodala a better defender
Dirk or Garnett – Garnett a much better defender, shot blocker and underrated post up game
Ford or Sessions – Sessions a bigger pg and look at his stats with only limited mins
Jennings or Rubio – Rubio just a hunch
0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/03/2009 - 5:17am #195034
uneik1ParticipantRose over Westbrook – slightly because of Rose passing skills
Roy over Mayo – not even close right now
Melo over Granger – Granger is solid but Melo is Elite. Especially now that he isn’t going nut all the time anymore.
Paul over D-Will – Paul is my favorite player right now.
Lebron over Kobe – Give me Kobe in the 4th Quarter though.
Harris over Rondo(slighty) – Rondo D is better but Harris isn’t a slouch. I think Harris has a better offensive game. Passing skills is about the same.
K-Mart over Redd – Both always hurt. But Martin can score different ways besides spot up. Real close though.
Nash over Kidd – Nash now but Kidd back in the days.
Butler over Iguodala – I think Butler is one of the most underated stars of the league while Iggy is one of the most overated.
Garnett over Dirk – Garnett can influence the game more than just on offense.
Sessions over Ford – I loved Ford out of college but he hasn’t been the same since spinal injury. Don’t know much about Sessions but looks like he is about to sign with my team and he did light them up a couple of times last year.
Jennigns over Rubio (slightly) – Jennings is a hot head and is going to take a while to mature. Skills are there though. Rubio has one of the best instincts of seeing plays a few moves before it happens. But Minny is not a good fit for him. He needs to be around Athletic wings that play above the rim and a spot up shooter.

CordellHatleyParticipantDerrick Rose over Russell Westbrook-
First of all Rose as a higher ceiling. You cannot guard Rose with the US Army on the perimeter and he is deadly driving to the basket. I understand that millions of people praise Russell Westbrooks defense but I still dont think that he can guard Derrick Rose.
OJ Mayo over Brandon Roy-
Mayo is 3 years younger than Roy. I also believe that at this stage in his career OJ Mayo is more advanced than Brandon Roy was at Washington. Mayo is more athletic and he also has the potential to become a superstar. I believe that Roy has pretty much reached his peak…
Carmelo Anthony over Danny Granger-
Dont get me wrong I love Danny Granger, but Melo could run circles around Granger. Even though Carmelo Anthony is considered a superstar, I still feel that he is underrated. People really do not appreciatte the art which is his smooth inside, outside game. His post game is unstoppable for any NBA small-foward. A no contest. But I do ave to admit Mr. Granger is a great player and if he continues to develop his gamewatch out. Danny Granger is also somewhat penalized in the medias eye because he plays for the Indiana Pacers, whch hurts his exposure…
Chris Paul slightly over Deron Williams-
Chris Paul gets the slight edge over Deron Williams because of his flashyness. He has a certain flair to his game that many point guards dream to have. He commands your attention at all times because he has those sneaky passes and dont try to stay in front of him. It will ot work! On the other hand Deron Williams IS THE SECOND BEST POINT GUARD IN THE NBA! He is just so smart with the ball. He has so many elusive moves they just make you mad being on the oppossing team. And his passing is a thing of beauty. He just may be the bet pick and roll point guard in the NBA ! (Until Ricky Rubio comes over to the US) This was a close one
Kobe Bryant over Lebron James-
Okay I know that alot of people are picking Lebron James over Kobe Bryant but please hear me out. One word RINGS…. Kobe has rings and thats something that Lebron does not have. (Maybe this year that will change) Is everyone now ready to admit that the NBA is still ran by Kobe Bryant??? Didnt it seem like when Lebron came to the league everyone was just ready to hand the throne to him? Listen up youngsters Kobe is still here and he is still the best basketball player on the planet. I will admit Lebron is a close second but Kobe has atleast another good 3 years before I can smell any decline in his game. People are so quick to throw the extra 2 inches of height that Lebron as on Kobe and the 30 puonds of mustle that he also has on Kobe. But Kobe is a smarter ball player than Lebron thats why Kobe Bryant gets the edge in my book
Devin Harris over Rajon Rondo-
Did people just forget about Devin Harris or something? Remember how good he was at Wisconsin? No one could guard him! People rave about Rajon Rondos defense. Did you forget Devin plays defense too. I understand Rajon Rondo has a ring and I made the argument about Lebron not having a ring and thats why he didnt get the nod over Kobe. But put Devin Harris on that Championship Boston team! Enough said….
Kevin Martin over Michael Redd-
Kevin Martin over Michael Redd only because I feel that Redd has gotten his money already and I feel that he has reached his ceiling. Over the off season I dont see alot of veteran that are not superstars trying to add anything new to their game. Whereas with Kevin Martin he is young and he still has something to prove. They both are pretty much the same player but one has more youth thats why Kevin Martin gets the nod
Jason Kidd slighty over Steve Nash-
Jason Kdd because he is a more vocal leader. I understand that Steve Nash has a better jumpshot in every means of the word but Kidd plays defense. I dont think that anyone in Phoenix other than Robin Lopez can spell defense out there. Also Kidd could mentor any young players on a given roster
Andre Iguodala over Caron Butler
Andre is crazy athletic and a great passer! He, (and don’t laugh) I dont think has fully reached his potential! I believe that when he gets a shooting coach and can add another go to dribble move, he can be a regular at the all-star game. Caron Butler is a great player in his own respect but I think that he is what you see is what you get..Kevin Garnett over Dirk Nowitski
Kevin! Kevin! Kevin! Remember when they one the championship against LA was it just me or did it seem like he had Pau Gasol scared in the post. Thats what Kevin Garnett brings to the floor. A certain swagger that Dirk cannot bring. No one is scared of Dirk! The only thing that anyone worries about him doing is hitting an open 3. No disrespect but Dirk at this stage in his career is on dimensional
Ramon Sessions over TJ Ford-
There is a reason that TJ Ford cannot keep a starting job. I love his game personally but I have seen Ramon Sessions play and boy if New York picks him up they will get a steal in the free agency market. Sessions passes, handles and shoots well he gets the nod…
Ricky Rubio over Brandon Jennings-
Rubio is like the second coming of Steve Nash! He has the potential to be what Nash has been for the past 5 to seven years of hi career. Mind you Nash did not come into the NBA with all of this hype. Rubio is further at this stage than Nash was and that scary. His feel for the game is unparelled for a guy his age. Whereas you have Brandon Jennings who reminds me of Louis Willams from Philadelphia. Meaning he has just enough point guard skills to play the position, but you can see that he has the heart of two guard. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rbio one day lead the league in assist. I cannot see Brandon Jennings leading the league in anything. I’m not saying he is a great player but I just see more in Rubio than I see in Jennings. Ricky Rubio gets the nod…
