With the Minnesota Timberwolves one win away from being a .500 team, they will be one of the 11 teams in the west with record of that of higher (compared to the East's 7 teams). The West has always been a dogfight of sorts during the end of the regular season for playoff spots, so with that said, which three teams in the conference you think will be just short of reaching the playoffs this season?
My bets are:
Utah - Started off strong, but has been struggling a bit, still young and inexperienced.
Memphis - Hate to have them on my list because they were such a highly anticpated team this year coming of that miraculous playoff run lasts season, but with Shane Battier gone and Z-Bo getting injured, I can't see this team closing out with a seed in the west.
Minnesota - Same category as Utah, only they have started off bad and is now picking up the pace.
*Noticed I didn't add Dallas or Portland to the list. I just think the Mavs will soon coheed as a team once they come off that Championship Hangover and Portland once again finds a way to win and win with Lamarcus Aldridge leading them now.
What three teams do you have?
Wont be us
I think that picture tells the whole story. You can see the team chemistry and just how much this twolves team is gelling right now. Look how happy they look dancing together. No way they miss the playoffs
For sure the Thunder, Nuggets, Lakers, Mavs will make it.
I don't see Kobe or Dirk letting their teams miss the playoffs no matter how old the roster is.
Clippers, Blazers, Spurs and Jazz should get in as well.
The Grizz with Zebo's injury and the Twolves just being too young just miss out.
I guess I have Utah making it over Memphis and Minnesota which doesn't make sense when you look at the talent but they do have more vets on Utah then Minnesota.
