fj84utu389tu5ParticipantWhich gaurd do you think will be drafted first: Kemba Walker or Brandon Knight?

Mr. JewboyParticipantHe could go as high as #3 to Utah, and won’t get past Cleveland and Toronto

Allen_Iverson_3ParticipantNo hesitation: younger, taller, stronger, better defender, more potential, same capacity of knocking down shots…..

Jazz_ItalyParticipantno doubt

omphalosParticipantKnight by far, I’d even go so far as to say he could have a better career than Irving when it’s all said and done.

ky30ParticipantHe is younger and more potential

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI’ll give you a break just this once Okay lol…now as far as who gets drafted First, don’t be shocked to see Brandon Knight gone before Irving, I said this for a long time now, Knight is better than Irving and doesn’t have half the injury concerns that Kyrie comes with…he’ll be long gone before Kemba who I see falling to the Pistons …

omphalosParticipantFor the record, I’ve been high on Knight all season, but even I can’t see him going above Irving. Dude has too much hype for teams to pass on him for Knight, who is underappreciated.

TimbosliceParticipantIt’s knight for sure. Teams had to like the way he learned how to play PG more efficiently this year at UK. Although kemba is probably mote talented right now knight had more potential imo

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantYou were right on the money with that, plus one…now who really thinks Irving is a better player than Knight…there is no real proof of that and to be honest Kyrie’s hype can only hurt him long term, sure it may get him drafted higher by what, 1 or 2 spots??? Knight was thought to be better in high school and college then Irving and if Irving played for any team other then Duke he’d be lower in the scouts rankings then he’s been all year long, Knight is like Holiday, Irving is like Rubio, one is all production and the other all hype…I don’t care about the few games Irving played at a high level, what about playing an entire season at a high level and making it further in the Tournament than the Hyped up Duke Blue Devils and Kyrie Irving…some people are slaves to the moment and hype machine that is ESPN, Chad Ford and even draft sites like this one…Knight was, is and will be better Irving and Walker and it will all play out very soon…you can have your hype, I’ll take the production all day…Knight is top guy on my personal Big Board, Kanter is 2nd and Jan Vessely is 3rd, Williams and Irving round out my top 5…I’m taking the production/potential of my top 3 guys over anyone else in this draft, My sleepers are Burks, Honeycutt and Montiejunas, one of those three will out produce Williams and Irving…

Jlv2011he was able to lead his team to a national championship. Knight did not.

omphalosParticipantOh yeah I’d forgotten about our little bet, I’ve got Miami winning the Finals 4-1 (begrudgingly though, I want Dallas to get this). Who do you have there?
I agree about Burks and Motiejunas as sleepers, I think Motie in particular is very underrated for no reason other than being on the scene for too long. Same thing with Knight I believe, I was watching Gunning for that #1 Spot again today and they talked about how having the same player at the top would be boring and bad for business, and at the end of the day scouting services are a business.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantAnd they don’t pan out it could hurt your credibility and that’s very bad for business…on the finals omphalos, I’ll take Dallas in 7 and live on the wild side…you own the series between us 1 to 0 lol…I’m trying to avoid the sweep…

Memphis MadnessParticipantBrandon Knight will be taken before Kemba. Knight is the better shooter and is a little taller. Kemba will be good too. Knight will fit in better with Utah. Not sure who fits in better in Sacramento. Both would be good in Toronto.

PlatypusParticipantKnight because of the p word
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/07/2011 - 6:15am #541022
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantAnd its not just because of potential, everyone keeps harping on Kemba winning a national championship against Butler lmao…I love Butler and was rooting them on but be serious , is their any doubt Kentucky wouldn’t have won the Championship game against Butler…Walker isnt better than Ty Lawson and he went later than Kemba is projected to go…I don’t see what people love about Walker as far as prospects go..Knight is just head shoulders above Walker and Irving its almost ridiculously annoying…

NYK2010ParticipantKnight definately.
BTW why hasn’t Aran updated his mock draft its been like 10 days and just 16 days left till the draft.

josephgoodeParticipantKnights potential beats out Walker’s age and maturity. Thats whys it hard for upperclassmen to ever go high in the draft. Remember the debate between Okafur (player of the year) and DHoward ( high school Kid).

JNixonParticipant"Knight is better than Irving and doesn’t have half the injury concerns that Kyrie comes with"
Brandon Knight won’t be better than Kyrie Irving. Irving is a more pure PG and a better natural scorer too. Knight will be good though, but I don’t see him being better than Irving.

TeamShowtimeLakersParticipantknight because he is younger, has more potential, and more explosive…but kemba isnt far behind…so i wouldnt be shocked if kemba was taken first.

B-ball fanParticipantHe doesn’t have close to the explosiveness of Kemba. I think people overrate Knight a bit. He didn’t really prove anything in college, and struggled mightily in the tournament. I am not sure he is gonna be the great shooter he is made out to be. In Kentucky, he really struggled at times to get separation from his defender, and didn’t shoot well in a lot of the big games against better teams as a result. I also would be worried about the lack of pg skills he has shown. He struggles in the drive and dish game and looks uncomfortable running the fast break sometimes. He may be younger, a better long range shooter, and bigger than Kemba, but Kemba will make up for that with superior athleticism, ball handling skills, pg skills, and ability in the mid range. I realize that Kemba took a little while to get his shot and production to get where it is now, but I have a hard time seeing Knight rising the way Kemba did. I hope Knight does well in the NBA as he seems very intelligent and well spoken, but I didn’t see what makes him a no doubt top 7 pick.
