valentineI will go out on a limb and say Barnes will average about 21.5 ppg being the main man on Dallas and Durant will only average 20.5
Warriors main scoring will be – Curry – 24.0 ppg, Durant- 20.5, Thompson- 19.0 and Green- 14.5

high floorParticipantI can appreciate you going out on a limb… but there is now way Durant averages his lowest ppg since his rookie year.. especially since he’s entering his prime. Durant is as talented a scorer as Lebron, and when Lebron joined Miami he averaged over 26ppg. That will be closer to Durant’s production IMO than 20.5ppg

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantWe saw him literally dissappear in the Finals when the Warriors needed someone other than Curry/Klay/Draymond to shoot the ball…
Barnes curled into the fetal posistion and missed shot after shot due to being so afraid to fail…
And he did all this in a contract year, should have cost him millions, yet Dallas has been desperate to land a free agent since they 1st began courting Chris Bosh all those years ago…
I like Barnes as a player, wouldnt mind him being a 3rd or 4th option on a winning team, but no way does he average more than KD next year or any other year…
Everyone else’s stats will be effected, Durant will still average his 25ppg, Curry and Klay may average less than they did this year but they’ll still get their shots up playing at the pace they do…

IndianaBasketballParticipantI doubt it. There’ll be some adjustments, but this should be an easy transition for Durant. With GSW’s spacing, pace, ball movement, offensive efficiency, etc I don’t expect a huge drop in his scoring. Plus I think Kerr will structure his rotation in such a way where Durant, Curry and Klay will all have their opportunities to be the legit go-to guy and go off.
Durant – 26, 7.5 and 4
Curry – 25.5, 4 and 7
Thompson – 19.5, 3 and 2
Green – 13.5, 9.5 and 7.5
I do think Barnes’ numbers will go up in DAL, but I highly doubt he averages more than Durant. I’d prob even sell him averaging 20+.

D7H7NParticipantDraymond will definitely average around near 10 PPG or maybe less because he has to be the one to sacrifice his shots for Durant coming in. Harrison Barnes only took 10 shots a game, Klay and Steph will probably give up 1-2 apiece. That means someone else will have to give up around 3-4 shots.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantUnless Barnes takes a major leap forward and seriously expands his offensive skill set (especially off the dribble) there is no way he will sniff anything close to 20 ppg this season.
Even though Durant will likely get less shot attempts than he did in okc, they will still run a lot of their offense through him (especially when curry sits). He consistently shot over 50% from the floor on a lot of tough contested shots in okc. He is going to get more open looks in gs than he ever has in his career. I’d be very surprised if he averages less than 25 ppg.

DanielcmccartyParticipantWell considering Barnes only averaged 11 last year, which was his highest output in the NBA, Getting 20+ will nearly double his scoring. I think everybody was high on Barnes as a free agent because he was the fourth/fifth option offensively on a team stacked with shooters and scorers. He was the consensus number 1 player in high school. He didn’t necessarily live up to being the #1 player at UNC either. But I think a lot of teams wanting to sign him was off the hope that he was just lost in the shuffle offensively on a really stacked team. I think at his best he could be a number 2 option on a playoff team. I think 18ppg is a Realistic first year scoring output on his new team

losnopesosParticipantBarnes coming back for a second season was the harbinger of doom for his career. He showed that he just didn’t have "it".

Captain LParticipantIt will be really hard for Barnes to average 20 points per game this year, 15 to 17 at the most , I watched Gordan Hayward progress year after year to the point of averaging 20 points per game but it’s hard and Barnes hasn’t progressed to that point even though he will be asked to take a much bigger role with Dallas, he won’t be their leading scorer, he’s talented and has potential but that would be asking too much IMO.
Durrant IMO will average more than Curry, all of the all stars will have to adjust but I think Curry as the point guard will have the responsibility of seeing to it that Durrant and Thompson get their shots , with Green again being a facilitator for all of them. Should be fun to watch.

OhCanada-ParticipantI think Durant averages around 23-ppg and Curry a bit less. Curry is fine with scoring 20-ppg as long as he is winning, he isn’t a greedy guy. Just wants to win and have fun, always has. This past season with him averaging 30-ppg was something new, I say he settles into record breaking efficiency with his shooting next year.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIn 2010, LBJ averaged 26.7, D Wade 25.5 and Bosh 18.7. And they played at the 20th ranked pace in the league.
The Warriors play at the fastest pace in the league… Have the best offense… I see no reason why Durant, Curry and Thompson can’t put up similar numbers.

Mr. JewboyParticipantTheres no way that Durant averages less than 20. He is going to be the leading scorer on his team. That is what he is, a scoring machine. Every team he is on he’ s the leading scorer, including USA and including last year where he ‘joined’ Westbrook after he was the leading scorer of the NBA when Durant was injured.
That being said, I see Durant getting 28, and willing to bet a lot he doesnt get less than 25. Isnt this like the highest scoring team? Not a problem for him to get his

radartradeWas this prediction not spot on.?
most people doubted he would come close to 20 ppg, he’s already at 22 ppg.
