I've found...

...this site does a pretty good job pegging the players throughout the year, but lags a little bit once you get inside the the last month, and is definitely a little slow to adjust to the rapid rise and fall of some of the players until the last couple days before the draft.
That being said, I think this site does a great job of sticking with the general opinion of scouts and GM's throughout the year, and never inserts its own opinion into its mocks, and stays away from crazy rumors until they are verified.

If you want a more opinion-oriented mock, I think draftexpress.com does that, and if you want every little move up and down charted, I think Chad Ford stays on top of absolutely every rumor he hears.

All good sites, just different approaches.

There was an article...

I think on either the Disney "Boo-Ya" Network's website or cnnsi dot com there was an article about how this site and the other one draftexpre$$ dot com (I am spelling them out like that so it doesn't look like I am swearing, hope it works) have actually become respected and recognized by people in the NBA and in the press. I live in Chicago, where we have 2 major newspapers (Suntimes and Tribune) and another suburban paper that I have always read called the Daily Herald. I have seen NBADraft.net and the other one referenced in all 3 of them when talking about a prospect. It's kind of like the coaches poll, the AP, the BCS, you know?

"I think that the Bulls will take a serious look at So and So, but NBADraft.net has him going 12th while "the other one" has him going 10th." You know? They have some guys on here who seem to know what they are talking about.

I remember that during the 2001 draft when the Bulls traded away Elton Brand for Tyson Chandler there was a collective "What the $#&*!?" from most Bulls fan. Because of this site, I knew exactly who he was and what he was all about. Of course, I was also REALLY excited about it too because of this site. That was stupid. I don't think that I can remember the last time a 20-10 PF who was a good guy, team player, won rookie of the year, and still so young he was still on his rookie contract has been traded away for an unproven, physically immature (not height of course), high school center before. I mean, I can't think of anything like that.
