Who do you want your team(s) to draft?

Warriors- DeMarcus Cousins- Perfect with Curry
Thunder-Jarvis Vanardo- Need a Defensive Big Man
Lakers- Mikael Torrance- Sleeper If he falls I want the Lakers to snatch him up.

Lets be realistic now...

I know there is a slight chance that Demarcus Cousins falls through the hands of the Nets, Timberwolves, and the Kings (only if the Kings are concerned with attitude and off-court activity resulting in them picking Greg Monroe or Cole Aldrich), but that is very unlikely.

I am hoping that the Kings get either Derrick Favors or Demarcus Cousins (more likely) with there first pick.

With there second pick, I want the Kings to get Jarvis Varnado (Defense!) or Lance Stephenson (Backup for the 2-guard position). Also, in the unlikely case of Eric Bledsoe or Stanley Robinson falling into the second round, I would love to see them in a King's uniform.

Since my Rockets have the 13th Pick I really think they should grab any big available at that spot..
There's plenty of bigs available such as Ed Davis, Cole Aldrich, Ekpe Udoh, Haddan Whiteside, etc..
I hear they're interested in trading up as well...It'd be amazing if they could move up to a Top 10 Pick, but I highly doubt they'll force anything. I just want a big who can back up Yao..
I prefer drafting Cole Aldrich..

Knickerbockers.... Realistica

Knickerbockers....

Realistically, Lance Stephenson & Sherron Collins

I guess taking a big man would be the better option, but I personally dont like any of the big men that'll likely be available in the 2nd round, maybe Varnado if Stephenson is gone...

Thunder

21-Luke Babbitt/Gordon Hayward-neither one of them can play defense well but the Thunder knows how to teach it
26-Larry Sanders/Jarvis Vanardo-beastly shot blockers and rebounders
32-Craig Brackins-instant offense from the bench, or BPA, or trade
51-Art Parakhouski, or BPA, or trade

Wizards...

I obviously want my team to draft John Wall since we got the #1 pick and he's the best player available.

Not My Favorite Choice

Wouldn't be my favorite pick but I like his smooth game, I think he's a little underrated as a defender, but overall I wouldn't be angry if they picked him

Celtics

I hope they take BPA. I like Gordon Hayward at 19, Luke Babbitt is a nice player, and Larry Sanders would also be a good pick since he could finish around the hoop running the floor with Rondo. I don't think there is a PG worth taking who will be available at 19. They could always sign a veteran as their are a million pgs in the league. If somebody slips later then expected, the Cs could pick him.

Portland

I don't like the idea of giving up the type of players it would take to trade into the 3 or 4 spot like reports said they might do...but if they do I'd like to see Favors...maybe Wes Johnson.

at 22: if Larry Sanders drops to there I'd love to see him taken. Otherwise Elliot Williams or Damian James

at 44: Caracter of Pittman

@cumoneileen8 I agree Sanders

@cumoneileen8

I agree Sanders is a good pick there, our biggest weakness is backup power forward, it would be good to get a point guard, but noone besides John Wall really stands out.

@Pacers_Fan33

Same here. I'm high on Hayward, but I'd be upset if Bird picked him. We don't need him. Our main need is point guard, but since we have no shot at Wall... We need to go with a big. We have the least athletic front court in the NBA.

Very True

The pacer's first 6 at their workout were all bigs or a scoring guard who can play 1 or 2.

Jazz

I want the jazz to get turner, cousins, or Monroe. Ain't gonna happen unless the sixes will do a sign and trade for Kyle korver, you know you all have missed him.... Lol.
Id be happy with any of the bigs after that, Udoh, Aldrich, orton, etc...

Silly post, but oh well...

This is off-topic, but LeBron needs to recruit Korver to whatever team he decides to sign with. Lol I'm playing in a league on NBA 2K10. I have the Cavs. I got sick of Anthony Parker, so I traded him to the Jazz for Kyle Korver. Korver hit TEN three's off of LeBron's penetration in his first game. In the last ten games... He's 40-50 from the three-point line.

common sense says

the kings WILL NOT draft a big man why would one of the brightest g.ms in the game trade his franchise player
for a pf if he didnt see that pf being one of the faces of the franchise? I think kmart and evans could have played side by side ala richmond and mullins if kmart wasnt so injury prone. landry will start thompson a career double figure scorer will back him up this doesnt make ANY sense for the kings to draft a pf this year. what they really need is a pg to at least back beno up but the kings dont even have a pg theyve drafted thats in the league still and this is a very bad year for pgs.

I disagree with you. I think

I disagree with you. I think they traded Martin because they didn't think he could co-exist with Evans... Plus Martin was always injured. I think it was time to move on. They were able to get a very good power forward in Landry who's going to be great on and off of the court.

I think they'd pick Cousins though. He'd give them low post scoring and toughness at the center position. Hawes is talented offensively, but lacks toughness. I'd be surprised if he was available at five and they didn't pick him.

Blazers

If the Blazers do manage to get the 3rd or 4th pick which is highly unlikely then I would like Favors or Cousins. For the current 22nd pick I would like Paul George or Damion James. The 44th pick I would like Luke Harangody I think?

I think the Kings could split

I think the Kings could split minutes effectively between those four (Brockman wouldn't be in the regular rotation).

You can never have too much depth considering foul trouble, injuries, etc. Landry has proven he can do damage in 30 minutes or less. That leaves at least 18 minutes for Thompson at the four. Cousins probably won't play more than 30 minutes per game at the center. There's plenty of minutes to go around.

Huh? What do you mean? We're talking about the 5th pick, right? The Kings aren't going to use the 5th pick on a backup point guard.

They have plenty of money... They can address that need via free-agency.

So who do you think the Kings

So who do you think the Kings are going to take with the 5th pick?

And Minnesota isn't screaming for Cousins. I doubt they'll pass him up if they remain at the fourth pick, but Kahn isn't exactly screaming for Cousins.

I fell in love with Udoh's game in the elite 8. I really want him or Monroe. both have face up games and skilled games to add to our front court.

I dont think theyres going to be a 5th pick

im pretty positive the picks going to be traded. think about this please sacramentos drafting history does not indicate that they go after the safe pick brian grant, jason thompson, kevin martin petrie is one of the smartest men in the game because he doesnt go after what everyone else sees he goes after what he sees and please believe me if he can fix the small forward and point guard positions in the draft he will. the same arguement that goes for who is the kings current backup point guard can be used for adding another big man but im pretty positive petrie doesnt see the need to add another through the draft.

I'd like to see Atlanta take

I'd like to see Atlanta take Elliot Williams, and continue to be one of the most athletic teams in the league.

Really, I would like to see a center taken, but I'm not sure if there will be any good ones left.

Det

Aldrich is a scrub. He would not be good with the Pistons. He's a poor mans Bill Lambier if that. He doesnt fit the Pistons at all. Greg Monroe or DeMarcus Cousins will fit the system perfectly. 2nd Round they should select best point guard available

As a Jazz fan, I would not

As a Jazz fan, I would not mind the Jazz picking Aldrich or Udoh with the 9th pick. Both should be available but I really want us to trade up to get Wes Johnson an excellent replacement for injury prone AK.

How about this deal Booz and the 9th pick to the Kings for Thompson, Nocioni and 5th pick.
Now we can have a bigger, more defensive, and cheaper then Booz. Kings get pretty darn good with Booz and that 9th pick. So can we with Thompson and the 5th pick. What do you say Kings?

I want Memphis to pick Bradley with the 12th pick I think he will be the steal of the draft. With the other two late first round picks I hope they either trade them or draft the best available player.

44 responses and no Bulls

44 responses and no Bulls fans?!?!

All the pressure is on me then..

They only have one pick and it's tricky because it will depend on what they can get in free agency, which I believe is after the draft.

If James Anderson is somehow there then I think they have to take him to give Rose some help with scoring.

Paul George would be a steal in my opinion but his stock is rising fast.

I also think Larry Sanders would add some depth to their frontline.

That Bucks trade could really come back to haunt the Bulls. It is only a 3 pick difference but they have the same needs as the Bulls and are probably looking at the same guys.

Knicks

Brackins and Bledsoe would probably be the best possible scenerio for the Knicks at 39 and 40.

I would be happy with any combination of big/small of the following players:
Bigs:
Brackins
Sanders
Varnado
Jordan

Smalls:
Bledsoe
Warren
Stephenson
Williams

Other late to undrafted players I like are:
Scheyer
Prince
Fredette
Garcia
Shumpert

I wouldnt be surprised if the Memphis Grizzlies who are not financially comfortable decide to sell one of their late first round picks, especially because they have a somewhat deep bench. If they do decide to sell I woud put the Knicks on top of the list of likely buyers of that pick. Someone like Montiejunas, Bradley, Henry, or Hayward could fall to 25 or 28.
