Who do you see being the best center in the NCAA for the upcoming season?

So I know we should be discussing the draft, but this one has been on my mind for quite a while now.. Who do you guys think that will be the best Center this year at college? I know that many people in here know a ton about college hoops, so share your thoughts, everyone. Personally I find it hard to predict, (the obvious choice would me Mitch McGary from MU), But I really like Joel Embiid, AJ Hammons, the kid from Iowa, Adam Woodbury, and the kid LSU is bringing over from Australia, Darcy Malone. Who dou think will stand out at the 5 for the 13-14 season?

My first thought was Mitch McGary, but Willie Cauley-Stein might, MIGHT, make a big jump from last year.

McGary and Hammons should be

McGary and Hammons should be really interesting to watch next year. McGary for how he plays with Burke and Hammons for how much he improves on his own. Different bigs that should really impact games.

Isaiah Austin...he made a great choice coming back for another year. With a whole new roster coming in for Baylor I look for his scoring average to go up about 5 points and his defense to be a lot better.

Wow, what a sad list of choices to look at. The dominant big man is becoming extinct. Hope Okafor lives up to the promise.

I expect big things from

I expect big things from Montrezl Harrell. With Dieng gone he will be the starting 5, and I could see him becoming a first round pick in 2014.

To me the prospect with the

To me the prospect with the most NBA upside/potential isIsaiah Austin. He has the offensive upside to become a stretch big like, Channing Frye, Ryan Anderson, or Andrea Bargnani depending how he develops and defensive upside of guys like Jarvis Varnardo, Larry Sanders, or Tyson Chandler depending how he develops. He showed excellent maturity by staying in Baylor for another year of development and passing up gauranteed millions.

He was neutralized when going

He was neutralized when going up against a real center. Check the championship game.

Why do kids nowadays never want to post up? If I was a huge 7 foot tall kid, I would be doing everything I could to mirror Hakeem Olajuwon's game

WCS for me

is who i ect to be look like the best center, plenty of competition behind him to keep him hungry, Unique athletism, good length. pus with the talent on his team hell just have to dunk dump offs, rebound and block shot

Nobody wants to play center because its not popular anymore. Big guys get tired of waiting for the ball forever and watch guards shoot and get all the props. Plus for a large period of time the more non bigman skills you could show the more value you seemed to have '' big man with range to the three point line etc...'
