Who do the Jazz pick?
Jordan Hamilton would be a reach in the top 10. Utah needs a scoring wing, so Terrence Jones or Harrison Barnes would be the best options, I think.
Utah would be looking at the 1, 2, 3 spots with the 2 and 3 spots being a bigger need. They also would want to pick a person that would not be a terrible cultural shock living in Utah and leave down the road or want to like Williams did. I am think they go with a Euro and best available player. I they can move down and grab Jimmer, I can see that happening.
Don't think Utah would draft Jimmer. He's more of a combo guard and that is not Utah's style. KOC likes to draft players that fit Utah's system. Jimmer would not really fit in with Utah. Maybe Alec Burks but I would still rather have Hamilton. Burks seems a little overrated to me.
Barnes or Jones would not be too bad. I like them both but Utah already has AK who is a great starting 3. He may get injured alot but I'd feel better if both Barnes and Jones could play the SG as well. This is one of the main reasons why I'm suggesting Hamilton.
So far this is my order Hamilton, Barnes, Jones, Burks, Honeycutt.
Actually, since both Sloan and Dwill aren't on the team anymore, you might also see a change of playstyle as well, although I still don't like the idea of drafting Jimmer either way.
Some names that interests me for this draft season aside from the obvious ones are...
-Jan Vessely as a SF
- Jonas Valanciunas as a C
and
- Brandon Knight as SG/future 6th man
I assume both the Nets and Jazz pick will be late lottery (12~18) and G.S. would be protected this season, so we'll have 2 first rounders.
does cj miles finally get a look at the starting 2 spot?
@Taylorcondrin, I sure hope so. He might even start as early as tonight over Raja Bell. I've been want this to happen since like December.
@cheesepillow, I like Vesely too but Utah already has AK and he will get resigned for much less money. Yeah he's injured alot but I'd still prefer to get a SG. I do like the Valanciunas pick though. Right now I have Kanter as the Jazz pick (with this site's mock draft. In about 2 or 3 weeks that will change) I wouldn't mind starting either Kanter or Valanciunas at Center, Big AL at the 4, move Millsap for a SG and then still have Favors be a a backup to Jefferson. Or Valanciunas and Kanter could backup Jefferson at C, and Favors would start.
Right now I think Utah should go for a 2 guard or a Center. A 3, maybe but only if there are no options at the 2 guard and Center. (which may very well happen) I just hope Utah doesn't waste this pick like they did when they drafted Hayward last year. UGHH
Honestly I think the Jazz need a PG most now. If the Net's get a top 3 pick or Irving is still there he is the pick without a doubt.
After him they have to draft the BPA in the draft not named Sullinger, preferably a wing like Barnes or T. Jones, or even Perry.

I am very surprised that DWill got traded. I expected it to happen just not until the offseason or next season and only if he didn't sign an extension. I was thinking about possibly trading him early this morning but I was only thinking it would happen much later. Kevin O'conner surprised me. Also I am absolutely sure that this was not because of Dwill apparently forcing Sloan out (Which btw did not happen) KOC knew that he was upset. Jersey called offered the deal, and thought "gee a future great PF that is the same height as Big AL and a good PG in Devin Harris, and 2 lottery picks, can't pass this up."
But now that the trade has happened, who should Utah use their newly acquired pick for this year on? Utah still needs a SG so maybe Jordan Hamilton. Any other ideas?
