1st off what does Danny Anige do with KG and Pierce? It would be weird to see Pierce in another uniform but the way the NBA been the last 10 years I wouldn’t be surprise.

2nd- They need a coach that can put up with Rondo. Many believe he is the reason Doc left for Hollywood. When healthy Rondo is a top 10 player in the NBA.

3rd- Who gets the chance to coach one of the best story franchise in the NBA? My choice would be Hollins or Brain Shaw someone who can take charge and get in players face (Hollins to Bayless) Shaw brings toughness like he did in Indy and has played for Phil Jackson.

Lastly- Boston would be in a rebuild mode but can still make the playoffs as a 6th 7th or 8th seed. All they need to do is give Jeff Green starter minutes Sully comes back healthy. I can see Fab Melo in a Chris Wilcox role. Bradley will win defense player of year if healthy. They just need to figure out what to do with the VETS.

BUT THE MAIN QUESTION WHO COACHES BOSTON NOW???

    No Antoine Walker!!!

I have to think Shaw. He won’t cost too much. Is well respected, and has Celtic ties (former teammate of Ainge, and worked with Bird in Indy)

Believe it or,but a few weeks ago there were reports that Ainge would hire Vinnie Del Negro….But if Ainge decides to let KG & Pierce go they might look for an inexpensive assistant coach…..Like JSmoove mentioned Shaw seems like a great choice…And he has a history with the ballclub……

He sucks. Players hate him. Personality sucks too. Don’t want him here. Bad for Rondo and you will see a confirmed fight between them, bank on it.

Maybe Garnett Retires and becomes their coach….lol..

KG might be a little too much of a task master and too tempermental to be a head coach….He might be like Jordan,Magic or Kobe and want the players to be as good as he was….

Grant Hill has the personality to be a good coach……He and Kidd came into the nbe the same yr, they retired the same yr..Maybe they become head coaches at the same time….

I think Brian Shaw is a good fit for the Celtics. I want to see him to coach for years now and can bring a new identity to this franchise. Remember Doc Rivers first head coaching job was with a horrible rebuilding team in Orlando but he made a good job and was even named COY bringing this team to the playoffs. The story tells that on first day of practice he had just one flipchart saying best defensive team in the league knowing he had a very limited group there.

I can see Shaw do something similar now after everything is done there. Even with KG and Pierce gone a starting five with Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sully/Bass, Melo could be a nice defensive group.

If they want to rebuild quick on the fly without beeing irrelevant for years this might be one of the few options.

Don’t like the idea of bringing in Scott. Does anyone know what Mike Brown thinks about finding a new job?

His whole career he has never played the style best for him. Shows how good he has been running a halfcourt set. He is a transition player. Can run any style of game you want.
