1. Kobe
2. Wade
3. Roy
4. Evans (I'm sold)
5. Johnson
6. Ellis
7. Iguodala
8. Jackson
9. Allen
10. Ginobili
Just missed: Arenas, Martin
ok here we go
1. Kobe (even tho it pains me to admit it)
2. Dwayne Wade
3.Joe Johnson
4.Vince Carter
5. Brandon Roy
6.Ray Allen
7. Jason Ricardson
8. Manu Ginobili
9. Monta Ellis
10.O.J. Mayo
mines more realistic IMO
- Kobe
- Wade
- Roy
- Johnson
- Ellis
- Evans
- Ginobili
- Martin
- Gordon
- Vince Carter
- Arenas
- Jackson
- Ray Allen
- Jason Richardson
- Jamal Crawford
1.Kobe
2.Wade
3.Roy
4.Johnson
Sorry but I think those are locked. All all-stars and legitimate 20-5-5 guys for several years. Not just one year for several years.
5-6. Jackson - He and G-Dog led the Bobcats to the playoffs
5-6. Manu - When Popovich made him a starter when he was healthy he exploded and was a big part in the win over the mavs. Would be probably higher if Pop would play him more.
7. Reke - to me he is more of a PG but if everyone puts him in the list... I put him so low because it was his first year, let him prove himself for a 2nd season and he will rise but don't overhype him putting him over JJ or Roy
8. VC - The Vince Carter of the 2nd half reg season.
9. Jamal Crawford - very efficient scorer
10. Close one between Allen and Ellis. If it were for 2 seasons, most teams would probably pick Allen over Ellis, but let's give Ellis that spot since everyone is so hyped about him. He is really a very overrated player.
He takes 22 shots a game in 40min, getting 4 TO. Yes his ppg looks high, but Crawford gets 18ppg in 31mpg with 1,7 TO taking 14 shots. Crawford does that on a contender while Ellis was on one of teh worst teams. He gets 2,2 steals but those are kind of an indication of poor defense. He is reaching istead of contesting!!! He had the worst +/- in the west.
But... he really is a terrific finisher and he worked on his shot year since he came to the league. But stop overhyping him please...
Honorable Mention: Arenas: would be in this list if healthy and without guns.
wow... r u even serious... y do u guys hate on carter so much. this dude is a future hall of famer and brandon roy is what? a one time all star... roy will never be the player carter is
First of all it's not about who is a HoF or not. It's about who is a better player right now and that's roy, easy pick. And imo VC isn't a Hall of Famer. Did I miss something?
Btw I missed Martin in my list. He is probably on the same level as the 2nd half carter.
quit putting Tyreke on the list.....he is officially a PG now....
Top Bench Shooting Guards
(Manu, JR Smith is a starter in my book) They get most minutes for there team here so doesnt count
1. Jamal Crawford
2. James Harden
3. CJ Miles
4. Ben Gordon (will take over for Rip this yr i believe)
5. J.J. Reddick
6. Marcus Thorton
7. Wesley Matthews
8. Josh Childress
9. Leandro Barbosa
10. Anthony Morrow / Courtney Lee
Honerable Mention: Nick Young and Shannon Brown
I don't care what kind of offense the guy plays in if he can put up 25+ ppg every night. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy averaged 28ppg this season... That type of scoring cannot be denied.
Ok, if Tyreke is a point guard, is Lebron as well?
but more like a point forward....if you don't think Tyreke is classified as a PG you're ruhtard...
evans can play both, but he did play a lot more pg last year then sg.
As for my top 10 sg's for this coming season:
1-kobe bryant
2-dwyane wade
3-brandon roy
4-joe johnson
5-monta ellis
6-gilbert arenas
7-manu ginobli
8-stephen jackson
9-andre iguodala
10-vince carter
but if they get only one of the five positions where would you put Evans???? not shooting guard.....if you do you're a tard...period....
@McSerbian: Did you seriously call Roy a one time all-star? He's been an all-star since his second season in the L after winning ROY. As of right now he is just better than VC. Can't help but shake my head at how much people underrate Roy because of his injury concerns.
As far as my top 10 goes I'd go with...
1. Kobe
2. Wade
3. Roy (close, taking production into account, and Wade's is going to be down obviously).
4. Joe Johnson
5. Manu Ginobili
6. Stephen Jackson
7. Vince Carter
8. Gilbert Arenas
9. Monta Ellis
10. Ray Allen
Just thought I'd clarify that Iggy will be a SF by season's end as Turner works his way into the starting lineup. Reke is a PG or he'd be on this list too.
So if you're going to take production into account for Roy, why don't you take production into account for Ellis or are you just being biased? Ellis should be a lot higher since we are talking about right now.
Because Ellis is a pure scorer who is a defensive liability, and I prefer players who can play at both ends. Also, I rate production on good teams better than a team like the Warriors, where the numbers are inflated.
Also, production is only part of the consideration; but look at the players above him, Joe Johnson, Gilbert Arenas, Stephen Jackson and Vince Carter should be the among the top scorers on their teams. Ginobili is higher because of his intangibles and just awesomeness generally.
I'm not being biased, I just don't think Monta Ellis is better than any of those players right now based on what I've seen of him. I think he could make a case to jump to seventh on the list, but no higher than that.
@nateoak
You're right, there are probably more efficient SGs than Crawford. But Crawford gets a good ppg in a few minutes, shooting considerably well from the floor, from behind the line and from the freethrow line. He also has only 1,7 TO although he is doing much of the ball handling. And he does all that on a strong team.
Now I have some questions for you:
How can you put Monta Ellis over a multiple all-star who is a franchise player on a 50+ win team? You're obv a fanboy, because nobody with common sense would ever do that. And it's even close between him and Roy??? Sorry but no comment.
And belive me, most teams would pick Jax and Manu over Ellis. Both of them can score in a number of ways, have better range and play good defense. Same goes for Carter.
Curry and Lee are the future of the GSW and not Ellis.
@symbol
You forgot Jason Terry on that list.
I see Tyreke as just a guard, so I just decided to put him on the list since he was already listed.
So far in the one game he played this year..lol..he seemed to play more off-ball and was still effective. He still pounds the ball a little to much, but most of the time he seems to put the ball in the hole or dish it off to a teamate. I am extremely impressed how well Udrih, Evans, and Garcia are gelling together.
I loved the offensive set of Tyreke at the top of the key with Udrih and Garcia both cutting to both wings off the screens.Often times, garcia/udrih will get a good shot or Tyreke will use the distraction to break down his defender.
Suprisingly, I feel Cousins isnt trying hard enough to create offensive drives. Most of his shot attempts are off of contested tip-ins and put-backs. Instead of kicking the ball out all of the time(i love him sharing the ball), I also would like him to be more aggressive.
I haven't watched the Kings yet this year....I want to badly though....
Tomorrow the Kings are going to play the Raptors. It is going to be shown free on NBA.com.
They are still unorthodox, but there are some flashes of brilliance.lol
is turning out to be my fantasy pick of the year...
That's great. Omri Casspi basically won my head-to-head matchup for me with his 6-7 from 3-point range.

My opinion
1. Kobe
2. Wade
3. Roy
4. Ellis (Its close between him and Roy)
5. Johnson
6. Reke
7. Arenas
8. Harden (SHOCKER, lol I think he will be the 6th man of the year and become the new Manu)
9.Gordon(I think he will be nice this season
10.Jackson
Its just my opinion , if you consider Iggy a 3
