Who are a few guys you are most wanting to see in the NBA next year? I personally can’t wait to see how Beal does, especially if he’s running with John Wall. He, MKG, and Austin Rivers are the players whom I’m really looking forward to see how they translate. I would say Drummond, but I think for his Rookie year, he’ll play a lot like DeAndre Jordan until he learns some offensive moves, which I think he’ll do by his 2nd or 3rd year.

For some mid-late 1st rounders, I want to see how well Royce White, Will Barton, and Tony Wroten will do. I think they all have a chance to be good complimentary players for a team and I love their games

i think davis, beal, gilchrist will be the best players out of the draft

i think thomas robinson will be a good player. I’m most interested to see how Drummond, Barnes or Lilliard play. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were good or bad.

I’m most intrigued with PJ3, if I was a GM I would have such a hard time passng up on him. I feel like if he gets put in the right situation and under the right coach, he can be a real good player. I really wanna see how Royce White and Khris Middleton turn out also though, and if my boy Robbie Hummel gets his name called and can actually stick. Other than that I love the undraftees/2nd rounders who give it their all in the summer league for a roster spot.

This draft is so deep, it’s hard to pick only a few when I can’t wait to see how almost all of them will do. Plus, I can’t wait to play 2k with this class lol

This will probably be my worst mock draft because of how good these guys are, a lot of these picks could go any direction

Considering how rare it is for a UVA guy to be NBA draf material I’m obviously rooting for Mike Scott the most. After that I’d say Andre Drummond, because if he reaches his potential he could be a real pleasure to watch considering how big and athletic he is.

In my opinion, the guys that can potentially be a #3 on a winning team or better:

    Anthony Davis
    Brad Beal
    Harrison Barnes
    MKG
    Damion Lillard
    Jeremy Lamb
    Perry Jones
    and maybe Andre Drummond

Not saying that they will reach those potentials, but those are the only guys that I really think have the potential to be that big of contributors.

I’m most intrigued with Drummond.  I don’t think there has been such a high risk, high reward player in quite some time.  He could be really good or fall of the face of the earth like Hasheem Thabeet, another Uconn center…

    Machu#64,

I agree.  Lots of good 3rd options here potentially.  Maybe not too many superstars but some good core guys and a TON of rotation players.  Plus, I think teams can get a rotation guy as late as the 2nd round.  I think there are a few guys in the late first round that will be solid rotation guys as perhaps a few in the 2nd round.  Probably more deep bench/12th men type guys in the mid to late second round than usual.

The first pick is a no-brainer here with Anthony Davis.  Not sure he is gonna be a surefire first ballot Hall of Famer like Shaq, Duncan, Hakeem, Ewing, David Robinson, or LeBron James.  Iverson is probably a first ballot Hall of Famer too.  If not, then he will definitely get in eventually.  Not sure if Anthony Davis will be up there with those guys.

I think Davis might be more like Chris Webber who was one hell of a player, and would have been even better if he hadn’t been injured quite a bit.  C Webb was an all-star type for years but never a guy who was the best guy in the league or perhaps even a top 5 guy.  But, Chris Webber was a guy in the top 10 or 15 for many years and he put the Kings on the map.  He might be overlooked a bit, but he was a beast in college and had a great NBA career, and should be a Hall of Famer in my opinion, if only being the ring leader of the Fab Five and launched the AAU/Calipari-style post-modern era in college basketball (Bird and Magic introduced the modern era of college ball).

I think that Anthony Davis will have that kind of impact on the league.  A perennial star player, getting some all-star nods, and winning games for his team.  Maybe never an MVP or even a top 3 or 5 player in the league but probably a top 10 to 15 guy for much of his career.  I can see him getting a DPOY or two and probably the ROY.  He’s also the rare kind of big man who can put on a show in the all-star game with his touch-and-dunk offense and high flying, shot-blocking defense.  He can run the floor, make point guards look good, and put on a show.

Stats and game wise I think he will be a Rasheed Wallace/Ben Wallace hybrid. Rasheed Wallace’s smooth game and dunks plus his basketball IQ minus his zaniness.  Rasheed could play the 4 and 5 and guard all three front court players.  He was a pretty good offensive facilitator too.  I think Anthony Davis can be this type of lengthy, agile, athletic 4/5 and also acquire Rasheed’s range on his jumper.  Then add Ben Wallace’s shot blocking skills, defensive dominance, and superior rebounding.  Ben Wallace was the rare big man who could dominate a game without scoring (Dennis Rodman being another).  I think that Anthony Davis could be a guy like that.

If you really think about it a Wallace Combo would be a pretty good outcome for Anthony Davis.  Think 16-17 points, 13-14 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals a game while patrolling the lane, closing out on small forwards, posting up, and running the floor.

Man, I wanna see lots of players from this draft, that’s why I’m SO interested in this year’s crop.

Waiters – is he as good as they say, Rivers – can he be an effective scorer in pros, White – can he maximize his talent, how big a factor will be his anxiety, Davis – how good is he gonna be from the start, T. Rob – can he be dominant in the NBA too Drummond – how quickly he learns how to use his athleticism, Barnes – how good is he gonna be in the NBA, Lillard – how good is his playmaking ability, Marshall – how effective is he gonna be against NBA competition. And generally how guys like MKG, D. Green, Barton, Q. Miller, DJO, Crowder, Acy, D. Lamb, T. Jones fare in the NBA.

However, my favorite prospects are T. Ross & Moe Harkless.
