Which Prospects Are You Most Excited to See Get Paid?
Maybe this is a weird question, but we all know that some players are more likable than others and some had a harder road to get to this point and some have faced financial hardship throughout their lives.
Personally, I'm happy for Steven Adams. The dude is entering the draft to support his family, he's had to come overseas, he's had to overcome doubters who said he was too raw. And he just seems like a likable guy overall.
McLemore because of the poverty issues in his youth.
pierre Jackson...lonnnng route to this point
The kid is humble. Doesn't want to ride on the hype he gets. Just working hard ans has a blue collar mentality which I think will really help him ti be on the NBA for the next 10 years.
Gotta go with fellow countryman Steven Adams as he didn't have the easiest life growing up and from all reports was very close to falling into wrong crowd. His sister is the World/Olympic shot put champ, so it is nice to see an elite sporting family in something other than rugby.
"so it is nice to see an elite sporting family in something other than rugby."
Wait, are you the guy who's from New Zealand? That would help this sentence to make a lot more sense.
Victor Oladipo, not so much because of the money, but his dad hasn't been supportive of his choices.
Oladipo also mentioned his mom & sisters as being positive influences during a recent interview with ESPN. Didn't mention his bizarre dad. I can see why.
Beat me to him! lol Huge IU fan and he has been my favorite player since he first got there, nobody works harder than this kid on and off the court, just an awesome dude.
Steven Adams no doubt, also a fellow New Zealander and i know him personally, hes such a down to earth guy who thinks about others before himself. Such a hard worker and has come so far in such a little time. He deserves that pay check so he can help out his family and obviously himself. I know this is a biased comment but in my eyes he is very deserving of his first pay check and a long and successful career in the league!
He will immediately become NZ's highest paid athlete, you gotta love that. I don't know him, but have played against him and he was insane.
Haha did he drop about 50 on you? Against New Zealand competition he was almost impossible to defend! Yeah i attended Scots College with him and one thing i noticed is that he wasn't only hard working when it came to basketball. He was one of the hardest workers in terms of education in our school, and he always made an effort to talk to anyone who talked to him! Something that a lot of elite athletes these day lack!
