Which player you hated the most all-time on your favorite team?
Eh just trying to make a creative thread here, I was wondering which are some of the players you guys hated the most(for any reason), that was on your favorite team?
Well for me, I am Warriors fan, and some how I hated Adonal Foyle the most. I know he is a great guy off the court, but what a bad draft pick he was, and we also gave him a fat contract for basically sitting on the bench. I also hated Donyell Marshall, he was such a big underachiever for us as the 3rd overall pick.
i think for me eric snow. i hated him in real life and on video games. haha. he couldnt make a shot to save his life. i always blamed him for when iverson had no help in philly and even when he played with bron early in his career.
lets c for the pistons..... i would have to say i didnt like rasheed wallace after his last season in detroit....
Didn't do shit while he was there, then dissed David Robinson when he got to LA
LOL Samaki Walker was pretty trash, his prime years was when he was playing for LA riding Shaq's back.
A foreign prospect that never amounted to much than 5 ppg in his six year stint as a Laker.
Even though he usually produced, has to be Carlos Boozer. Jazz have always been great at getting real character guys and while Boozer would "show a lot of emotion" during games, he never remotely exercised his potential defensively, and don't get me started on his attitude. Who plays 37 games one year and in the middle of the season while they're injured say they're gonna opt out and specifically cite destinations? That made me so damn angry. Good riddance.
Ricky Davis. That guy could make plays that made your jaw drop then the very next play do the most idiotic thing you've ever seen in your life. I remember once against the Wizards he hit a three to get us down by 1, then on the last seconds he got a game ending charge call...Typical Ricky Davis moment
Brevin knight was garbage when he was in utah...
Did not play a single play of defense in four years with Chicago and then complained about being disrespected by Chicago when they offered him a 10 million per yr deal. 10 mil for an undersized shooting guard who shoots too much and plays no defense?!?!!? and even still Ben thought he was better than that (hes not) he thought he deserved to be a starter (he doesnt). I am soooo happy Pistons offered him the contract they did. How is that working out by the way?
Michael Ruffin. This whole video explains why.
I'm a huge Wizards fan too, and I gotta say that I hate several players. Oleksiy Pecherov was such a waste of a first rounder, even in a weak draft class. You gotta hate Kwame Brown for all the hope he brought and how bad he ended up being. But my least favorite was Deshawn Stevenson for a variety of reasons, after he was shooting fifty-percent from the field midway through the season, he started calling himself "Mister 50" and challenged Gilbert Arenas to a shooting competition, in which he got pummeled by a one-handed shooting Arenas. He also called out Lebron and said he was overrated and saying he would shut him down. This guy was all bark and no bite.
Im a Knicks fan...and this is easy for me. Eddy Curry outside of the 06/07 season has been a huge waste of salary. Cant wait to be rid of him.
Well it's not NBA, but I HATED Randolph Morris at UK. He sucked.
As for NBA, my favorite team depends on who plays for them, since I don't live anywhere near a team. My team has been the Thunder ever since they went to OKC, so I'm not really sure. I can't stand Nick Collison though, not too sure why lol.
Oh and I'm not a Lakers fan, but I HATE Sasha Vujacic. Especially when he trash talked Goran Dragic last year. Pathetic
My least favorite Wolf.....
They have ruined my Wolves
lebron now used to be boozer
theres also robert swift in oklahoma city he went to the dleague and shot like 20 percent the guys aweful
as a knick fan its a tie between eddy curry and marbury
Juding from my username, its obvious who my favourite team is, The Toronto Raptors. And as for least favourite players, I got a couple.
Vince Carter - this one's obvious. I mean come on, what Raptor fan doesn't like Vince Carter. The guy was an amazing talent while in a raptor uniform, probably the best raptor of all time, but eventually, he became a &$#%#&@!, a baby, a b**ch. a fake etc. and I don't think i'll ever forgive him. If only he pulled through for a couple more seasons, then Bosh could have flourished and they would have been a dynamic duo.
Darrick martin - The black Brian Scalabrine. That's all I can say. The guy got paid +1 mill to yell at our players off the bench. I know he was good for a morale and was a good mentor, but he didnt do shit. EVER.
Jason Kapono - Looking at his resume, what did he do for us...hhmm? Win a couple of 3 point shootouts. So what he never translated that into actual games. Couldn't defend if his life depended on it and would jack up jumpers like we were up 40. He had his flashes in games but, his play just made me want to pull my hair out every game.
Rafael Araujo - Our infamous 8th overall pick in 04 that amounted to well, nothing. I know busts are common in sports but there was just something about him that angered me. I could see failure written all over him form the start. I know thats a bit harsh, but its just one guys opinion.
Sorry for the amount of players I wrote about and my clear frustration in my writing but this thread just helped me vent about my beloved team that i would die for, but just seems to disappoint. Hopefully with the departure of Chris Bosh and any other credible "star" in this league ( pedo turkoglu), we can begin fresh and become successful. A little Raptor victory would clear this town/country of their hockey brainwashed minds and give the raps some more deserved attention. :)
im a mavz fan and i hated Eric Damp this man sucks he was pretty good on golden state but came here and did nothing
I loved to hate Greg Ostertag, it was like Picking on the big dumb guy in gym class
It drove me crazy to watch Boozer- the things he said, the things he did, the defense he never tried to play, and his inability to hit a free throw in the crunch time of a game.
Jordon - He pushed off!!! buy I'm not bitter! &^$*$ %^% Jordon!
BTW this might be the only time you see Ostertag and Jordon mentioned in the same sentence.
It's Jordan. With an 'A'.
I watched the Sonics every night before Clay Bennett sodomized us all and moved the team
here were the pieces of sh1t i was forced to watch for many a year:
C-Calvin Booth- the biggest sloth out there, had a 9 inch vert, couldnt play D, didnt have an offensive game yet the Sonics were so damn miserable they had to play his worthless ass...one of the worst players on the planet
C-Jerome James- oh my god. this dude has the laziest attitude a human being could have. I remember one time he got in trouble for falling asleep during a team meeting. i would have cut him on the spot. 7'1'' 300 lbs. young and relatively talented with the heart of a &$#%#&@!...he had no intensity, he showed that potential against the Kings that got him a fat contract with the Knicks but he SUCKS
F-Vin Baker- worthless.
F-Vladimir Radmanovic-played no defense, all he did was re-enact jason kapono and launch 3's all day
C-Jim McIlvaine- did everything you would want out of a player BESIDES play defense, score, rebound, block shots, show any sort of talent or anything.
I enjoyed watching the Pistons Bad Boy Teams...I love seeing them use dirty tricks on defense and getting physical with teams..I disliked Laimbeer with a passion..he was the dirtiest of them all...Laimbeer didnt look like an athlete at all he looked like he should've been a Constuction worker or a Plumber
Hmmmm my least favorite Knick, probably Howard Eisley....I always knew he was overrated and the fact that Scott Layden brought him over here made me want to strangle him all the more.
Hard to single out a player on a classy organization like the Spurs, but for this past season I have to pick Keith Bogans. I know Richard Jefferson would seem like a more obvious choice, but Bogans blew so many defensive rotations that by season's end Popovich was referring to him playing like a "dog."
when vin baker and marc blount made up bostons front line i really wanted to murder someone. also vitaly potoenko was a real threat in the post haha shammond williams was another personal favorite
Magic fan: Shaquille O'Neal end of story
As a raptor fan it has to Rafuel Arajuo the worst draft pick ever and for the Lakers i would say Radmonivic or Mihm just because they sucked dank
I hated the "Baby Bulls" era. Basically a bunch of guys that teased you with their promise, but none of them fulfilled it. Every one of those guys had their moments, but some of the most inconsistent players I have ever watched over the years. Off the top of my head that included Tyson Chandler, Eddy Curry, Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon, Jamal Crawford, Luol Deng and maybe a couple of other guys. Surprisingly none of those guys became stars.
One player that I can't stand though would be Amare. He's very talented, but he has no heart and he plays with a really low basketball IQ. He has become a multiple all star, but I could only imagine what he could have been if he played smarter and actually cared about playing defense. I could only imagine being a PHX fan and having to watch a guy score on him because he doesn't block out or to see him jog down the floor on defense. With his athleticism alone you tell me that he only averages 8.9 rebounds and 1 block a game?
