which player should the lakers go after this offseason
steve blake would be perfect for our offense. keep shannon brown dont need to throw all that money at ford or felton. when blakes fits in better i would go after morrow though
If the lakers win the title, i want them to resign fisher and farmar and call it a summer.
Enough with the Kirk Hinrich, I really think the Bulls should keep him...
Steve Blake? Eh. To me he doesn't seem all that better then Fisher to be honest.
TJ did pick up his option.
Anthony Morrow would be a nice fit, a shooter to stretch the floor since Vujacic can't do that anymore.
Isn't Haywood going to be a Free Agent? I'm not sure, but he's a quality big..
I don't know of any big time Free Agent PG's...Maybe a Veteran like Luke Ridnour or Rafer Alston?
I think the best way to go is Trades.
If i was the lakers i would try either to sign luke ridnour for the MLE or maybe trade for Mario Chalmers or DJ Augustin. the Heat have shown they aren't in love with chalmers and if the cats resing felton then augustin won't be of any real use to them. Is Augustin an starter on a winning team though?
-Bosh and Derozan for Brown and Bynum
-We need to add some athleticism at the 3 behind Artest
-With our Draft picks, I would love to pick up Jerome Randle and Devan Downey, but I know Phil hates small pgs so most likely they will draft Shved(has alot of talent) and Matt Bouldin or Jon Scheyer these guys are all very good shooters.
Maybe the Lakers will decide to draft Shved and Randle that would be great
blake can hit the open shot and handle the ball and has good court vision and is quick then fisher. thats all he needs to do to be good for the lakers. i remember saying this before and now as i watch the games and read some basketball sites i see more and more announcers and nba people talking about blake and the lakers. im sorry llperez but id let farmar go( which is what im reading will happen) and try to get another player. i think he has more talent then who we will get but he just cant seem to grasp the offense and he's wayyy to inconsitant
Lakers next year will look somethng like this
Fisher or Farmar/Shved/Randle or Bouldin
Kobe/Sasha
Artest/Derozan/Walton(if he isn't traded for a 2ndround pick to the Twolves)
Bosh/Odom/Powell
Gasol/Mbenga and the Lakers might decide to draft only one pg and draft Zoubek out of Duke he would be a solid big off the bench or Omar Samhan
Ridnour can not guard, Blake can and can hit the occasional 3 and he plays in control and is 6'3" and long arms. Farmar is not the answer. Brown is should be kept for cheap. They also need to move Vujacic and maybe pick up a Ariza type small forward. There are some guys that should be available in that mold. Qyntel Woods may even work. If they can handle Artest they can handle Woods who is not as disruptive and Woods is skilled and can defend. Larry Brown liked this guy so you know he has to be able to defend some. He can also dribble and shoot. Lakers may also grab Devean George for cheap.
i dont think they need another sf. Artest is good for 30-35 miuntes. If luke can stay healthy, he is a very solid backup sf. Plus they occasionally play kobe at sf with brown at sg which is a good lineup. I dont see many minutes available for any position other then pg.
- Trade Morrison, and Jack Nicholson for Bosh
- sign Wade, and Lebron for the minimum with a multi-million dollar movie contract with holleywood as the main part of their contracts.
- Trade Phil Jackson to the Nets for for John Wall
And anyone who think these arent happening is a bias laker hater!!!! your just jealous that were gonna win the next 5 championships.
LOLOL. I still don't get why the Raptors would trade for an Injury prone player in Bynum?? & give up Demar DeRozan! Oh Em Gee...Dude, if that happens..Crown them Champs for the next 3 Years.
The Rockets already have plenty of different offers to try & get Bosh from the Raptors ..They are willing to trade Kevin Martin, Shane Battier, Aaron Brooks, Chase Budinger, Kyle Lowry, & Luis Scola. Although it's been said they're hesistant to trade Scola & Brooks.. Seriously though...I don't see how the Lakers even have the Cap Room to make a deal for Bosh as well.

....anything from a pg, sg, or center for the injury-proned bynum...
and i dont think chris bosh is an option....they are way over the luxury tax so options are limited though they do have draft picks...so what do u guys think..
