Hmmm

Depends. If you want the best players with more NBA potential I would easily go with Turner and Mudaiy. I think they are more likely to be one and done players rather than Jones/Okafor. I can see both players, especially Jones, staying in college for several years, or at least more than one. I really question the NBA potential of Jones. Okafor is extremely advanced as far as physical maturity and in his skill set goes but I am not that high on him either as an NBA great, due to his lack of explosiveness. I think he will be extremely solid and more than a capable NBA player, similar to Elton Brand, but think Turner has more long term potential.

So if you are Kentucky and want to continue on the same path you have been going it would be Turner and Mudaiy.

If you want to keep players for more than one year you take Jones/Okafor.

Give me Turner/Mudaiy.

1 year ago I think the overwhelming number of people and myself would have gone with Jones.Okafor. Now I'm actually leaning towards Turner/Mudiay. Turner is just such a versatile, athletic big man and despite the rankings I have always been more impressed with Mudiay than Jones especially from a physical and athletic standpoint.

For one year at the college

For one year at the college level, I would prefer Mudiay as my point and Okafor as the post. But given the two options I would take the package of Jones/Okafor, I feel the production of the two would be greater especially right away

For college I'd take Jones

For college I'd take Jones and Okafor. For pros Turner and Mudiay.

That said Turner and Mudiay will probably be going to different schools. Turner to Kansas. Mudiay to Kentucky.

As of right now I don't think

As of right now I don't think it's close, Jones and Okafor. Jones (IMO) is the best player right now in the country and Okafor has dominated Turner head to head.

I think Mudiay is a tad overrated and I would rate him as the 3rd best PG in the country right now behind Jones and Berry. (I am going to post their EYBL stats right now) He looks sexier in the mixtapes, but his numbers show how raw he really is:

Emmanuel Muddily

13.8 shots per game
14.6 ppg
38% fg
5.3 fta per game
69.6% ft
3.1 3pa per game
15% 3p
5.8 rpg
5.1 apg
3.8 to

Joel Berry (Berry's team lost 1 game over the entire summer of AAU which speaks volumes to him)

11.2 shots per game
14.1 ppg
46.3% fg
3.4 fta per game
79.7% ft
2.4 3pa per game
41.1% 3p
3.3 rag
6.1 apg
2.2 to

Tyus Jones
13.1 shots per game
22.6 ppg
54.8% fg
5.8 fta per game
87.3% ft
3.3 3pa per game
41.3% 3p
2.7 rag
7.0 apg
2.7 to

Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that both Mudiay and Turner have much higher ceilings than Okafor and Jones. I think Jones at this point is close to his ceiling, he has been compared to Irving, but Irving has MUCH better handles and is a more explosive. Okafor can refine his jumpshot and become more of a threat from the mid-range. Mudiay if he can put it all together is going to be a terror as well as Turner. Turner has a rare combination of skills if he puts it all together to be in the mold of an Anthony Davis. We will see though.

Right now give me Jones and Okafor though. In five years probably Mudiay and Turner.
