He is one of the NBA’s best fans, cheering on the sidelines, but the Cavs can’t afford him and many other teams will pay him more.  Where do you think he will go, and will he start?

Knicks always liked him, hard to see a spot there with R Lopez.

Lakers, they have money to sign one superstar center or two solid centers.

Charlotte could lose Big Al.  Atlanta might lose Horford.  Dallas needs size.  Pacers don’t go big but might want one large center on the bench for specific situations.

Some other teams have a need too, and maybe there is a chance he takes small money for another season with the Cavs, as they can’t go big with nearly $45million for Love, Thompson and Frye.

The Knicks brought him to the NBA originally so that is a good call, the Pacers with the Donnie Walsh connection too looks a good option given Mosgov is a decent athlete for his size.

Portland sprang to mind as did Miami if Whiteside moves on.

Trying to judge Mosgov’s market value is hard, he might get a higher shorter term deal nearer $8 to $10 million a year but a team might want to hedge bets on a 4 year deal and offer $6 to $8 million range.

He won’t be an immediate top FA target unless a team has identified him to fill a particular role and goes out for him right away. But might have to wait to see how thew top FA market shakes down before teams look to use up remaining cap space on players at his level.

It would be interesting to kmnow how Timofy and his agents would play FA if they got a reasonable offer on the first day lets say $20 million over 3 years from a team do they accept or wait a bit to see if better offers come in.

The Jazz could use him behind the Stifle Tower.

Tibor Plei§§ isnt up to the job and I know the Jazz want to play big.

I think the more interesting question is how much he is going to be used in the next series. If the Cavaliers play the Thunder, he is going to have to see some Court time. Whether or not he can match up will go a long way towards deciding that series if it happens.

Cavs gave up two first round picks for him. They better retain him, he’s a big body that runs the floor well.
