What's your favorite team lineup of all time?

Im am a New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans and didn't really follow basketball until they moved here from Charlotte so I didn't name any of those lineups from the Charlotte days just teams in New Orleans. It doesn't have to be the best team just your favorite and the one remember the most.
Mine is the 2007-08 team
PG Chris Paul
SG Morris Peterson
SF Peja Stojakovic
PF David West
C. Tyson Chandler
Role Players
Jannero Pargo
Bonzi Wells
Julian Wright
Hilton Armstrong
Record 56-26 finished 2nd in Western Conference
Defeated Mavs in first round 4-1
Loss to Spurs 4-3 in Semi-finals

That was a legit squad minus the injuries. I'll never forget the 2009 West Semifinals vs the Lakers when Brooks and Scola stepped up and Battier and MWP made Kobe's life a living hell that entire series. Great team.

mavs championship team '11

I may be biased but this team just had players that complimented each other perfectly. Each player (that was not injured) had a role to fit on the team and was necessary to win it all. I think deshawn stevenson's contribution on defense and his intensity overall went really unnoticed by the general public. This team was a truly a thing of beauty to watch... wish caron didnt get injured but it just goes to show how great of a team it really was. Of course dirk was on the most ridiculous playoff tear i have ever seen but the whole squad came together, chemistry was on point, and they just balled out like ive never seen before

jason kidd

Since you chose the

Since you chose the championship team I'll choose a team from the Don Nelson years with Dirk,Nash and Finley

PG-Steve Nash
SG-Nick Van Exel
SF-Michael Finley
PF-Dirk Nowitzki
C-Shawn Bradley

Led by the trip of Dirk, Nash and Finley this team won 60 games in the regular season and were the best scoring team in the NBA averaging 103 PPG. They ended up loosing to the Kings in the Western conference finals

Huh?

In 02 they lost to the kings in the second round and to the spurs in 03 in the west finals. I'm thinkin you combined those 2 years but that was a sick team nonetheless

Washington

life long DC bullets (ugh, wizards) fan. Hard choice between the Gilbert era and the Webber era. For BEST team, it would have to be the 78 championship team with Wes unseld but I wasn't alive then so I'll forego that one.

I'll go with this one.1996 Bullets

Brent Price
Calbert Cheaney
Juwan Howard
Chris Webber/Rasheed Wallace
Georghe Muresan

bench w/ minutes
Chris Whitney
Mitchell Butler
Robert Pack
Tim Legler
Ladell Eckles
Jim McIlvaine

Ah, yes.

They had a bad reputation, but it was a NASTY team.

Also, Shaq fouled Steve Smith.

2007-2008 C's

As a younger fan I can't go as far back as some guys but I loved the 2007-2008 Celtics.

PG- Rondo
SG- Allen
SF- Pierce
PF- Garnett
C- Perkins

Bench:
Leon Powe, Sam Cassel, Eddie House, James Posey, Tony Allen

That starting lineup was awesome to watch. Pierce is my favorite player of all time and seeing him play with KG and Allen was unreal. But what pushes this team over the top for me is the bench. I loved the way Powe, Posey, and Allen played with toughness and energy and House was one of the best irrational confidence guys coming off the bench in the league.

1996 Orlando Magic PG - Penny

1996 Orlando Magic

PG - Penny Hardaway: 24 years old, 21.7 PPG, 7.1 APG, 4.3 RPG, 2 SPG
SG - Nick Anderson: 28 years old, 14.7 PPG, 39 3PT%, 5.4 RPG
SF - Dennis Scott: 27 years old, 17.5 PPG, 42.5 3PT%

C - Shaquille O'Neal: 23 years old, 26.6 PPG, 57.3 FG%, 11 RPG, 2.1 BPG

Won 60 games in the regular season but got swept by the greatest team of all time in the playoffs.

oh what might have been if Penny had stayed healthy and Shaq had resigned...

2003-2004 Detroit Pistons PG

2003-2004 Detroit Pistons

PG Chauncey Billups
SG Rip Hamilton
SF Tayshaun Prince
PF Rasheed Wallace
C Ben Wallace

I was pretty young when this team played, but I'd watch their entire season if I could. Some awesome players on that team. Chauncey was the only good thing to come out of Colorado Basketball for a while and so he was always one of my favorite players and he led that team to get a ring over the heavily favored Lakers. Not enough respect for this Championship squad in my opinion.

2000-01 Kings

PG: Jason Williams
SG: Doug Christie
SF: Peja Stojakovic
PF: Chris Webber
C: Vlade Divac

Bench: Bobby Jackson, Hedo Turkoglu, Scott Pollard

I know the team with Mike Bibby had more success, but this one was super fun to watch and embodied everything that was ever good about the Kings.

PG Sam Cassell
PF Carl Herrera (?)

Also my favourite team line

Also my favourite team line up
Perfect mix of young superstar prospects and seasoned veterans. Just too bad T Mac left.
I would also add in Muggsy Bogues and Kevin Willis who played big roles on this team. Pretty sure Bogues started at pg for quite a few games near the end of the season.

Favorite lineup from my

Favorite lineup from my team:

2011-12 Oklahoma City Thunder

PG: Russell Westbrook
SG: Thabo Sefolosha
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Serge Ibaka
C: Kendrick Perkins
6th: James Harden

I can't even decide on my favorite team outside of Seattle/OKC. The Penny/Shaq teams, 95-96 Bulls, early 00s Kings, Dr. J's Sixers, early 00s Lakers, mid 80s Lakers/Celtics, Run-TMC Warriors, and the West/Chamberlain/Goodrich/Baylor/Riley 71 Lakers were all incredible.

Outside of OKC, I'm more of a players fan than a team fan.

1996 Sonics The Glove (Gary

1996 Sonics

The Glove (Gary Payton)
Hersey Hawkins
Detlef Schrempf
Reign Man (Shawn Kemp)
Sam Perkins

Ervin Johnson
Nate McMillan
Frank Brickowski
Eric Snow
David Wingate
Vincent Askew

Everyone in Seattle loved this team. They were powerhouses in the West, but Jordan took a ring from us. Gary Payton made him work, though, but you have to give credit to one of, if not the best, team that we have seen in that Bulls Team with MJ leading the way.

I also enjoyed the 2004-2005 Sonics

Luke Ridnour
Ray Allen
Rashard Lewis
Reggie Evans
Jerome James

Vladamir Radmonovic
Antonio Daniels
Danny Fortson
Nick Collison
Flip Murray
Damien Wilkens

These teams had a lot of role players that people didn't know about, but they were sure productive. Nobody thought the 2004-05 Sonics were even going to make the playoffs, let alone win the division and get the 3rd seed. That was a true underdog team and they played the Spurs (who ended up winning the title) the best of all the teams the Spurs played against in their championship run as they lost 4-2 while everyone else was 4-1 or 4-2

Tough, tough question

I have one line-up I can call my favorite, but I have two others that make a big push for that title as well.

Favorite Line-up

2008-09 Orlando Magic

PG: Jameer Nelson
SG: Courtney Lee
SF: Hedo Turkoglu
PF: Rashard Lewis
C: Dwight Howard
Bench: Pietrus, Battie, Gortat

I love this team and yet also hate this team for the simple fact that we'll never know how good it could've been. Before Jameer went down, that team was 36-11 and had a strong case for being the most balanced team on both ends. *sigh*

My next two are tied though and simply played fantastic team basketball.

1985-86 Boston Celtics

PG: Dennis Johnson
SG: Danny Ainge
SF: Larry Bird
PF: Kevin McHale
C: Robert Parish
Bench: Sichting, Walton, Wedman

1977-78 Portland Trail Blazers

PG: Lionel Hollins
SG: Johnny Davis
SF: Bob Gross
PF: Maurice Lucas
C: Bill Walton
Bench: Pretty much everyone on the bench

Those are my favorite line-ups and if possible, I would love to see a series between the two teams listed above. Don't know what would happen, but it would be wonderful to watch

2003-2004 Pacers 61-21

2003-2004 Pacers

61-21 record, which was best in the league. Top 3 defense in the league.

C - Jeff Foster (I miss this guy and his intensity/hustle on the boards and at the defensive end)

PF - Jermaine O'Neal (Young 25 year old JO averaging 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks)

SF - Ron Artest (His DPOY year and he was averaging 18 points)

SG - Reggie Miller (38, but still shooting 40% from 3PT)

PG - Jamaal Tinsley (Was in his 2nd season and struggle with injuries, but was solid)

6th - Al Harrington (6th Man of the Year candidate)

01-02 raptors

I've been a Raptors fan for a while and although I was not old enough at the time to understand just how good this team was, looking back at it I understand why.

PG: Mark Jackson
SG: Vince Carter
SF: Morris Peterson
PF: Charles Oakley
C: Antonio Davis

They finished 47-35 and made it to the second round, where they lost by a buzzer to the 76ers. If they won that game I believe they would have made the finals against the Lakers, even though they might not have won it.
