What NBA player would you hate to guard in pick up games? Who wouldn't you want on your team?
probably someone like reggie evans. Pick up games where a guy battles on every play. In the end it doesnt matter how skilled a player is, becasue they are all gonna bust me up. But at least i might be able to take a breather vs jamal crawford or monta ellis while thye jack up jumpers. Evans is gonna elbow me and bruise me and get me pissed off.
I would want Reggie Evans on my team any day of the week though.
jamaal crawford
jamaal crawford
i WOULDNT want marshon brooks on my team lol that dudes whole game just makes me wanna throw up. and id hate to gaurd kyrie irving or ben gordon
I'd hate to guard Brandon Jennings in a pick up game, hes so quick and has a lot of flash to his game! He would make me look like a fool on the court. I wouldn't pick John Petro, Luke Walton, Aaron Gray, Luke Zeller, Cory Higgins, or Aleksandar Pavlovic, to be on my team.
after getting a chance to watch him at the rucker a few years back, i gotta go with Jamal crawford.....dude has moves for days...not to mention his effortless handles and people underestimate his hustle...
Kevin Durant, this guy will shoot j's all in your face all day. Another would be Carmelo, he will just score on you in every way possible. Jamal Crawford will break your ankles and have you looking stupid
Not sure if there's a single user on this site who could stay infront of an NBA player without getting shook or blown past. You've got to be in tremendous shape to Guard any NBA player.
With that said, personally, a guy with a decent crossover or quick handle would be a pain to guard. They make me work.
Chris Paul. That guy was making Steve Blake look like a normal dude the other night. Not that Steve Blake is all world but Steve would be closer to me athletically than most other point guards.
I would hate playing with maybe Tyrus Thomas. I could imagine him playing pickup with guys like me and wanting to he a guard and jack up 3s.
Tyrus Thomas actually plays amazing during pickup games, he shoots some 3's but mainly he shoots fadeaways from the high post that always go in or just go straight down the court with no crossover directly to the rim for a dunk.
where a guy weaves through pick after pick, I would hate it.
I'd hate to guard Ty Lawson, I'm a slow guy who can't keep up with anyone, Ty Lawson would litterally break my ankles. That would be a living nightmare.
As for who I'd want on my team, somone like Steve Nash or Jose Calderon, who looks to create for other guys rather than look for their own shot.
Brandon Jennings/John Wall/Josh Selby are great in pick up games
Not sure who I wouldnt want, maybe Krylyo Fesenko (doubt I spelt that right) or Jon Brockman.
aquille carr would destroy us all
I would NOT enjoy playing with J.R. Smith, you would literally never get a shot up
Well I'd say lebron. His combination of speed, power and athleticism is unparalleled. Throw in him being one of the best mid range shooters in the league and he might be able to score abit on me ;) haha when you play pickup games do you actually hate guarding people? I think that's the best part is trying to stop the best play so I really wouldn't hate guarding any player, even tho they'd drop 100 or so on me.
Zach Randolf, you cant guard guys like that. The left hand is immpossible to block and everything he throws up goes in. He has like magnets in his hands for rebounds. IT goes to show that rebounding isnt just about hops!!
I wouldn´t like to play against any NBA player - they are all to strong, athletic, quick, tall, flashy ...
But the worst would be to play against Jamal Crawford - you gave the reasons why ;)
I wouldn´t like to have Brian Cardinal or the "white mamba" (though it would be really funny, great character guys!) on my team. They do not have sooooooooooo many skills ...

For me it would be Monte Ellis as my most hated. He constantly takes tough shot and whether he has a hand in his face doesn't matter. He either makes or misses but your defense is irrelevant, he pretends your not there. He is relentless out there, I can't imagine what his shooting percentage would be if he only took open shots. I think in a pick up game where no coach could pull him out he might take every shot and has a chance of hitting 10 straight or missing 10 in a row and he wouldnt see that as a problem. One of those "I just have to play my game " guys. He doubles as a guy I wouldn't want to play with also, because if you tell him anything I'm pretty sure he wouldn't listen to one word. He is like the guy in the huddle that stares blankly at the coach when he is talking but hears straight Charlie Brown teacher, "Waop woap woap".
