What makes Nerlens Noel better than Rudy Gobert?

Can someone please explain to me why Gobert wouldn't be taken over Nerlens Noel? Put this guy Gobert on Kentucky's team. I think he puts up better numbers. They are both raw. But Gobert measure in 7'2 with a 7'9 wingspan and is also 239 Pounds. Noel is 6'11 and got weighed in at 206 pounds. Noel is very raw, and lets face it both of these guys wont have much of an impact there rookie year, but looking down the line, Gobert looks like the much better prospect. Anyone agree?

Yeah I'm not saying Gobert

Yeah I'm not saying Gobert isn't better since I've really never seen him play in a game, but I'm not investing so much into measurements, tallest/longest player in the league struggles to get off the bench (Thabeet). I'm also not saying they're the same player but Alex Ajinca measured out very similar to Gobert. Also understand I'm not a Noel fan by any means, but I can't compare players based on their height weight and wingspan if I've never seen both play, and not many people on this site have ever watched Gobert in a real game before.

Sometimes people base way too

Sometimes people base way too much on height and length. talent, production, and skill should all be taken into account before length. And right now Gobert is very raw on skill and production.

I don't get how because Rudy

I don't get how because Rudy Gobert has the longest wingspan measured, it automatically makes him a better prospect then Len and Noels. I don't think a lot of people know anything about him other then his length or watched film on him,

All the threads that has been

All the threads that has been made raving about him, has any them put in any input on anything else other then his length ? I'm just curious because maybe I'm missing something else. I've gone into a couple of them, and that is only thing I'm seeing.

Nah Noel definitely has a

Nah Noel definitely has a better overall feel for the game and more athleticism. Gobert is more of a project so for the teams drafting they are going to pick the surefire defensive stopper at the least (Noel).

How is Gobert more of a

How is Gobert more of a project than Noel? They're both big projects.
What have you seen out of Gobert to say that Noel has a better overall feel for the game?
Gobert is the son of a professional basketball player and has been a professional basketball for 3 yrs

Noel

He plays the 4/5. Is more accustomed to the american game, More fluid moving around n has played against the current draft talent so u know what you are getting. Just for basics. /factor in he is already a defensive ready for the nba (minus Bulk/strength). Plus he is a better slasher. Most teams are running tweeners at the 4/ power fowards in the middle. Noels advantage since thats what he played against already

Age

I was just doing some cursory draft analysis that I could sync up with the combine stuff. Just basic stuff like what class NCAA players are in, how old they are, what school they went to, yada yada yada. I came to this site as a resource actually (been a reader for a while, this is my first real post). The thing about Gobert that seems to get glanced over is he is the oldest International Prospect (worth mentioning at this time anyways), and this is not some shortsighted list I am working from. I have analyzed over 60 total prospects so far.

Rudy Gobert was born on April 19th, 1991 (Current Age: 22)
Nerlens Noel was born on April 10th, 1994 (Current Age: 19)

They are both raw project bigmen but Noel has a inherent advantage across the board due to his age. He can bulk up easier and he can learn more/easier. Plus there is the whole language/culture barrier that Gobert has to adapt to. Then what that is all said and done he might not even come over right away (I don't know the workings of his specific contract situation though). I mean if Gobert does not come over right away I feel it is an open and shut case Noel is the wiser pick. To be perfectly frank I am not high on either of them, but Goberts bust potential really worries me.

Noel

Really scares me in the weight edepartment though. 206lbs, yh he could bulk up but adding weight is not looking llike an easy task.
I know nothing about Gorbert so no comment
