Another satirical kind of post rather than serious. I predict things that Jason Kidd will do as head coach for Brooklyn. Hopefully they turn the Nets into a title contender.
Im mostly interested to see the influence he has on D-Will.
Me too in all seriousness. It's not like he had the best of coaches for him last year. They were 28th in pace out of 30 even with someone like Williams running the point. I'd like to think that Kidd will ramp things up a bit.
I mostly want to see what he could do to the Nets' defense. Teach the bigs how to box out. Kidd was a great defender because he would always box out, and I think if Humphries boxes out more, Lopez could be a better rebounder. He'd probably help Tyshawn Taylor become a better PG, and mentor Brooks. I think it's a nice move for the Nets. Glad he was picked up.
im also very interested too see how d will responds too kidd all d will has done is make a hof coach quit and a former coach of they year get fired hopefully he listens too j kidd and learns what it takes too be a first ballot hof like kidd will be
Dwill missed his opportunity in the league. Used to be CP3 vs. DWill...now it's CP3, Rondo, Westbrook, Rose, Parker, Conley, Curry etc. I would take all those guys over Deron any day. Watching J Kidd coach is going to be awesome though, I really hope he is successful in Brooklyn...so make me eat my words Deron! aha
Agreed, he left his best days in Utah when the CP3-DWill discussion for who was the best point guard was legitimate.
But at least he's in a bigger market now! Oh wait, that kind of backfired.
I can't get those minutes back can I?
I'm a little skeptical about this hire. I have the upmost respect for Jason Kidd he's a 1st ballot hall of famer...but don't under estimate the value of being an assistant coach and learning what it's like to really run a team, not from a player's perspective but as a coach. It's wearing a totally different hat. Kidd is now responsible for the team as a whole not just the point guards. I'm very interested to see how he handles carrying the burden of a playoff team with high expectations and talent as a first time coach. Seems like a lot of pressure to me.
Yeah it'll be interesting to see who will be his assistant coaches. In one article from USA Today, it was said that Kidd reached out to Lawrence Frank. Not sure how many outlets mentioned that too, it was just the first article that showed up on a Google search.
