pokieParticipantThe Celtics were offering both their first round picks (#16 and #28) to move up. For the Fourth pick (and absolutely the guy they wanted: Justise Winslow) they offered Charlotte six picks? That means the big-hungry Knicks could have drafted Bobby Portis and/or Jarell Martin and/or Kevon Looney and had multiple picks in future drafts or the second round of this draft. What were they thinking?

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantI was thinking the same thing about my Hornets. Sure, all the picks weren’t valuable, but AT LEAST one of those picks would have been even better than Kaminsky, who I believe will be a good player. I can’t even describe how angry I am at Jordan/Cho.

phila9012ParticipantYeah, you have to go best player available in that case when winslow is still there, who is clearly better and has higher potential. Winslow has a chance to be an all star. throw him in a wing rotation with MKG batum and nobody is scoring on those guys. Kaminsky will be solid but at best you are looking at kelly olynyk. If they didn’t want winslow they should have traded the pick for what the celtics offered.

T RexWhen the Celtics aren’t paying 100 million dollar contracts for role players when the cap goes up, all these nice singles and doubles that Danny is hitting will make a lot more sense.

mgreener_34Participantwell it was reported that the Celtics offered #16, #28, and the Mavs and Grizz pick next year FOR THE 9TH PICK!! and was turned down…so I don’t think anything less of the haul he got for Pierce and KG + Smart would have even gotten consideration for the #4…the value of the lottery picks was just too high this year, and that price increased even more on draft night as Muiday and Winslow slipped…
