What if the Pacers didn't match and Blazers got Hibbert?
This also allows Hickson to be their 6th man which the team lacks. That should be a playoff team right?
That looks like a playoff team for sure. I dont think they would of got very far but it's an upgrade.
Yep, good balance too, and they would have around the 17 pick in this draft to get maybe a another wing.
Would they still have Batum though? Remember Minnesota made an offer at him and keeping both him and Hibbert would have given them little long-term flexibility.
I dont think it would have been even financially possible for them to keep both Batum with his ridiculous contract AND to have signed Roy Hibbert to the max
Pretty sure they would. That cap space they have for this year saved for not signing Hibbert.
Not worth it.
I'm not saying HIbbert isn't worth that contract because he's obviously proven he is in these playoffs but it wouldn't payoff the Blazers the same way it did the Pacers.
The Blazers wouldn't be in the Conference Finals tied 2-2 if Hibbert would have been with them. Indiana wouldn't be in the Conference Finals tied 2-2 if they DIDN'T have Hibbert with them either.
