What do you think of John Wall?

I have come full circle with Wall. From having Greg Monroe as my #1 pick in the offseason, John Wall made me eat it every game. He has impressed me. I think he could be the best #1 pick since 2004. Here's what I see from John Wall

- speedy slasher
- potential lockdown defender

To me, John Wall could win a couple MVP's. I could see him averaging 17-11-4-3 in his prime.

But for me, there are question for Wall. Can he improve the jumper? I know some people will kill me for it but there's been more players who couldn't do it over players who did. Can he cut down the turnovers? 4 turnovers are alot. Looking back this past season, I cannot think of a set of guard good enough that he played to cause those turnovers. He must improve his jumpshot defense. If Wall is not a elite defender in the NBA, this would be his downfall. I seen him against PG who has some speed but shoot over drive- Wall is taller but his jumper D is a bit lacking.

With all this being said, What is your overall opinion on John Wall? I don't want a "fanboy" opinion. I want a real opinion.

Wow. Didn't I just say I didn't want no fanboy opinions?

17 points and 11 assists. His assists numbers will be high and his scoring will be a tad low. Not a big deal...

yeah i agree in his prime he

yeah i agree in his prime he could avg those numbers but the mvps i cant see him getting any at this point because of the players who are already in the NBA who are proven like Lebron,durant,CP3,D.Will,D.rose,Rondo and etc so for you to say multiple mvps is a big reach

I think he can be a 20 ppg

I think he can be a 20 ppg scorer and possibly get 8 assists in his prime years. While playing great defense and making clutch plays. He also has been criticized for his jump shot, but he has a nice mid-range jumper that no one seems to give him credit for. He also played great D all year, but people have said he needs to improve his D because of how badly he played in 1 game against WVU. He has big potential on D. He is super turnover prone though and he has to prove he's a true NBA PG who can operate in the half-court better than he has shown. I think his rookie season will be on line with what Russell Westbrook did.

I don't see the MVPs, but I

I don't see the MVPs, but I def. see a great slasher with amazing speed and defense. I also think he has a bit of that clutch factor, both offensively and defensively. He's a good leader. He will be a capable starter from day 1 and the only thing stopping him from making All-NBA teams in the future could be the depth of the position in the NBA. I think he's a more North-South version of Derrick Rose, but with less control and slightly less of a feel for the game.

John Wall

I can't see him winning multiple MVPs, it's hard due to the media and all the GREAT players who haven't won more than one in their career (Shaq, Kobe, etc.). I find it hard to believe if he can even lead a team to the NBA Finals because of so many improving young teams. Wall will have a decent career, let me restate, more than decent! I can see him averaging about 19 ppg. 10 asst. 3 rpg. 3 stls. 1 blck. per contest in his prime. I think the reason that many people scrutinize Wall based on the WVU game is that it was a glimpse of how NBA teams are built with WVU's length, size, and athleticism. Like someone stated, he has to cut down turnovers, he didn't play anyone who at the PG position can cause him that many TOs.

I remember watching Larry Hughes

when he was at washington ( i wanna say 04-05).. the yr he should of been defensive player of the year. I think he came close to 3. I think it was like 2.8 somethin spg, and he had so many 5,6,7stl games it was crazy.

Yea dude, I don't think it is

Yea dude, I don't think it is a conspiracy. Believe me, I'm much happier you guys won it than a team who has taken it plenty of times in the past. It just seem pretty nuts that we have had 13 straight seasons of never moving up in the draft. 13, and plenty of those have been top 10 pick slots. Have fun with you new toy, just remember to keep your toys separate from the guns. Kids + Guns = Mess ;)

I'm actually pro-lottery despite my T-Wolves misfortunes. If you been around here more often maybe you would know that if you seen more of what I have said. Hard to judge me off of 1 post, where I clearly was making a sarcastic comment. So plz get off my dick on this one and relieve some stress with yours.
