What do the Hawks really need? sayonara JJ

Ive been reading alot on the website about the hawks and i see people saying that Joe Johnson needs to be resigned. but lets be honest....Joe isnt coming back to atlanta. the fans know it, he knows it, hell all of the nba knows it. But the real need for the hawks was painfully obvious in the playoffs against the magic. The hawks need a legit big center. Al horford is good but he is not a center he is a power forward. And obviously josh smith is a pf as well. I used to think smith could be slid over to the 3 spot but he cant shoot worth a dam. I kno i may get sum hate 4 this but its tim efor the hawks to get rid of sum guys. im not talkin a major overhaul but sumthing has to happen. for 1 bibby should either be moved or made the backup point. also they need to sign a veteran in place of joe johnson. maybe a ray allen or a legit backup scorer should they choose to start jamal crawford. but the main thing is a big man. It sneeded so badly no one on the roster was able to contain dwight. all i saw was dunk after dunk. Now i kno sum are gonna disagree but i think josh smith needs 2 be the guy moved. i know hes produced alot of highlights but i think he is kind of the piece the hawks could do without. horford is still up and coming and he jus left the allstar game last year hes really elevating his game. i can only imagine wat he can do in his natural position at the 4.

the hawks need a reliable

the hawks need a reliable bench, crawford can only do so much, but i heard that teague will be the starter instead of bibby, helping them to enhance their bench even a lil, but the development of josh smoove is huge.

The Hawks need to try and

The Hawks need to try and pick Lance Stephenson at 24. There are rumblings that they may go after Terrico White on the local radio, but White is more of a 6th man to me while IMO Stephenson can be a 1st option and a starter. I think the Hawks are also interested in Damion James (who they don't really need....) and Solomon Alabi too. Alabi would be a step in the right direction towards stopping the Dwight Howards and Andrew Boguts of the East, but he's not exactly what the doctor ordered. Stephenson should be who they go after at 24 IMO, and then they should look to pick Jerome Jordan (if available), Dexter Pittman, or int'l prospect Paulo Prestes as all are big bodies.

many needs

since jjs gone they will probably have to insert crawford as the 2 guard. they need to sign a center so they can move horford to pf and smith to sf-there natural positions. they shud also get either raymond felton or draft a point guard because bibby cannot create anymore

Smith should not be playing

Smith should not be playing small forward. he is an athletic power forward and not a small forward. he should be traded along with Marvin Williams for a starting center or small forward. the future is all on Jeff Teague and Al Horford

hawks

horford can bang down there in the center position, im not worried about him, smoov can can play either 3 or 4 and it doesnt matter if he can shoot or not he runs the floor and play great d hawks have a few shooters already. its there backcourt situation, bibby just aint bibby anymore and jeff teague is a less athletic version of his brother. crawford can play but his perimeter defence isnt the greatest. permitter D and a premier PG who can bring the ball up the floor and find open shooters is whats needed here...oh yeah and maybe a head coach who doesnt have to shave his eyebrows to get his team going.

Josh Smith doesn't play SF

Josh Smith doesn't play SF most times, he only operates as a SF would if he has a "slow" PF on him. Marvin is the SF.

They need to try an trade Marvin Williams and move Josh Smith to small forward and move Al Horfort to power forward. Al Horford can't guard/contain the Dwight Howards or the Yao Mings of this league. I feel that they need a legit big man who is bigger than 6'10.

Lance Stephenson...I know the

Lance Stephenson...I know the guy has talent, but he had times this year at Cincy where he still hasn't learned a lot of the small things to make him better. He pouted many times too. If they draft him and he wants to start or they want to start him, who is going to the bench. I just dont think it is the best fit, but it also depends on who is the coach

The problem with Foster is he

The problem with Foster is he is coming off back surgery, which is bad for an older player, so how healthy is he. Childress really doesn't want to be in Atlanta, plus he wants way too much money, which ATL doesnt have to throw around for a 6th man. Trading Bibby is going to be very difficult because of the remainign money on his contract. I like the Scheyer pick in the 2nd, as long as he is there for the picking.
