There’s been a lot of hype & deservedly so for Andrew Wiggins. But this summer Coach Self has said that Wayne Selden has been the best player on most days in the gym when the team has worked out together. He’s dropped some weight & seems to have made his jumper a weapon. Is it possible that he could be a late lotto pick this year as well?

IMO, yes indeed. I think outside of the most hyped prospects coming out of HS (Wiggins, Randle, Parker, etc..) I am highest on Seldon. He is right with or just behind those guys. I think he is going to be a good pro. A power guard who can handle and pass plus finish strong at the cup? He just needs to get the range on that jumper. I love his game.

I think he will be one of the 5-10 best freshmen in the country this year. He should get a lot of open looks and won’t face many double teams with defenses keying in on Wiggins. Although I am not a Kansas fan I am looking forward to watching him and Wiggins. College basketball can’t get here fast enough.

o of course…especially if kansas makes a tiutle run(which IMO they could end up being the favorites instead of kentucky once the season gets underway..i remember when UNC had that loaded squad and then kentucky ended up being the supreme team with davis, gilchrist etc…but i mean i definitely think seldon could be a top 10 pick…should be an interesting year

I’m really High on Selden as well, I’ll admit that I’ve only seen him in mix tapes and highlights/scouting reports, but what I’ve seen has really impressed me, the passes he’s capable of throwing are just beautiful. He’s athletic, seems to have a nice stroke, great charisma, I could see him becoming the Surprise of the draft, not saying he’ll go low because I really believe he’ll be in the 5-10 range, but he’ll sorta be like D-wade people will think he’ll be a good pro but not great. I believe he will be great. like I said I’m really High on Selden. I can’t wait to see him play…. ugh I think my fangirliness was too strong in this post lol…

Seldon plays with so much power. His strength, size, and athleticism on the wing is something I haven’t seen on the wing for awhile, if his shot is really coming along then watch out. Him and Wiggins is going to be one hell of a show this year.

I first watched a game of Selden’s in 2012 when I was actually trying to get a look at Noel. It was against Brewster and Selden was maybe the most impressive player on the floor. He was an underclassman at the time but so physically mature. Another player that stood out to me in that game was Jakarr Sampson and he’s one of my dark horse lottery prospects for 2014.

That seems to be a reoccurring theme with Selden. He’s a guy who you can’t help but notice when he’s on the court.
