Wayne Ellington

Just turned on the Suns-Timberwolves game and I was wondering how Wayne Ellinton was doing these days. People might have forgotten, but he was the most outstanding player of the final four in 2009 on a team that featured Ty Lawson, Tyler Hansbrough and Danny Green. He was a big time shooter at UNC. Any chance that he turns into an all-star in Minny or is he just another average NBA player?

I think he is lucky he got to

I think he is lucky he got to make the T-Wolves and stay in the NBA. He can shoot, but little else. He struggles to finish at the rim, and his lack of diversity in his offensive game hurts him. He is shooting under 35% from beyond the arc on the season, which is below average, especially considering that is supposed to be his biggest strength.

Definatly not an allstar, but

Definatly not an allstar, but he is a serviceable role player. He started out the season playing well and getting minutes, then he stopped making shots and once the Wolves got healthy he fell out of the rotation for like 2 months. Now he is playing again and is starting to hit some shots and contribute. He still misses too many open looks for a guy whose sole purpose is to shoot, but he has stretches where he catches fire. Nothing but a ok role player

He's a nice role player who

He's a nice role player who can do what he is doing right now. He is a fill in guy that can definitly be serviceable when guys get injured. He is an ok shooter, and he is a great hustle type guy. I commend him for staying in shape and I think you learn alot about a guy when he is able to step back in to a rotation when being out of one for 20 games and give the same amount of energy.

I don't think he's ever been

I don't think he's ever been a confident player in the NBA and never has really found a comfort zone... Lately when he has been given PT he's taken advantage and really played aggressive.. But that PT is way too inconsistent...

wayne ellington

solid player, but plays somewhat scared on the court. he needs to be on a team with veteran leadership. the lakers or even the celtics could really use this guy for their second unit. best scenario he would avg 11 ppg (and im being generous). someone in the likes of Ray Allen, Kobe or even Grant Hill who plays his position needs to sit him down and give him that birds and the bees type of conversation or light a fire under his ass to motivate this dude. you aren't the MVP? of the NCAA final 4 for no reason.
