casey38rayParticipantThis Washington Wizards had been horrendous as of late. They lost 11 out of 15 ( I believe ) and they lost most of these games the same way. They lost by being outcoached and the bench playing terrible. You can say Bradley Beal being out of the lineup costing them and I can agree with that, but they been having these problems for year. They recently just lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves and they Detroit Pistons ( both by 20 points ). That’s just bad.
I been saying this for years that this Wizards team is kinda constructed similarly like the Golden State Warriors. If you look at it like this, John Wall = Stephan Curry, Bradley Beal = Klay Thompson, Paul Pierce = Iggy, Otto Porter = Harrison Barnes, Nene = Andrew Bogut. I’m not talking about terms of playing style with some, but the situations. Randy Wittman is Mark Jackson. I’m not saying Randy Wittman is a terrible coach, but this is the far he can take a team, just like Mark Jackson. If I were the Wizards GM I would fire him now and go with an interim to finfish the season and see what he got.
The difference between the two is that the Warriors got Steve Kerr. The Wizards nee to find their Steve Kerr. Some coaches they should look at is Kevin Ollie ( UConn ), Fred Hoiberg ( Iowa State ), Billy Donavan ( Florida ), Alvin Gentry ( Golden State ), Ime Adoka ( San Antonio ) or Adrian Griffin ( Chicago ). They just need someone that can operate an offense and create some space.
They also might need a new GM. My god, I looked at his draft history and it’ horrendous. He only drafted one player outside the lottery that made an all star team, Michael Redd was the pick. Also, the only good picks he made recently that turned out as players are John Wall and Bradley Beal and those two were obvious picks. He drafted Jan Vesely over Kawhi Leonard, he picked Chris Singletary over guys like Tobias Harris and Jimmy Butler, he chose to get Tomas Satoransky ( who don’t want to play for the Wizards ) over Draymond Greene, and last year when they traded Jordan Clarkson ( who’s killing for the Lakers and could’ve been the back up point guard for John Wall that the Wizards desperately looking for. I know hindsight is 20/20, but the point is the constant misses that the Wizards GM make and still keep job. He should be fire as well.
This team is wasting John Wall talent and the past couple of weeks he looks tired for carrying this team all year.

hoopscopParticipantTheir success last year was pure poison, because the agony with Grunfeld and Wittman was prolonged. Right now 1/3 of the HC in the NBA have no business running your local YMCA team, it is really bad because so many great players look really bad (in this case Wall, Beal, Porter would thrive with some competent coaching).

casey38rayParticipantI don’t believe last years success was fools gold They have a good enough roster to make it to the eastern conference championship. They just need a head coach that can orchestrate a offense with better spacing and their best players get the ball more.

casey38rayParticipantAnd I won’t say it’s fools gold because they were great early this year and it seems like every top team in the EAST had a rough stretch of games, except Atlanta.

TarHeelRavenParticipantA couple of months ago I wrote a post saying I thought the Wizards could come out of the East. They were red hot then and Wall was playing like an MVP. Now they just seem lost. They got obliterated by the Cavs a couple nights ago and are playing some terrible basketball right now. Having Beal out obviously hurts them. Perhaps playing the hapless Sixers tonight can get the reeling Wizards back on track.
