Who’s gonna win! Place your predictions you pacifists and peacekeepers!

GSW wins games 1 and 2.

    Cavs win game 3.

GSW wins game 4 in a blowout and everyone says James is a choker.

Cavs win game 5 and 6 and everyone gives up on Curry and GSW.

GSW wins game 7 "Curry the next goat?" threads pop up, JR Smith sleeps with Lebrons mom.

Bench play : GSW > CLE

    Curry > Kyrie

    Thompson > JR

    Iggy < Lebron

    Dray > Love

    Thompson = Bogut

Do not see this series going 7 games. Don’t feel like writing too much so I’ll just say this: CLE plays or tries to play a style similar to GSW does which is a recipe for disaster when going against GSW. You do not want to get into a 3 point shooting contest with Curry and Thompson

     I got it like this

    Game 1 – Cavs

    Game 2 – Dubs

    Game 3 – Cavs

    Game 4 – Dubs

    Game 5 – Cavs

    Game 6 – Cavs

4 games to 2. Lebron brings title to Cleveland.

And just like boxing…everyone knows the real money is in the decider.

Cavs vs Dubs go at it again 2016/17.

Cavs in 6 or 7 IF Golden State play like they did against OKC.. Draymond sucked, Livingston sucked, Barnes was Meh.. These guys will have to show up against the Cavs..

OKCs advantage was the play of their bigs in the series. They controlled the boards for the series and whenever they were switched onto curry, they were able to do a good job defending. Alot of the time,  they forced him into very tough shots, even getting a couple blocks. CLEs bigs are not gonna stand a chance out on the perimeter trying to defend Curry 1v1

They played against OKC, they aren’t no scrubs. Draymond Green struggled mostly because of Kevin Durant length on him. I don’t really see LeBron guarding him much this series.

If Lebron himself with a banged up team can win 2 games against golden state(almost 3) than I don’t see why they can’t take them while at full force. They also have logged a lot less more minutes on their starters than golden state

It’ll be interesting. I hope the cavs pull off the improbable, but Warriors are too tough. I think this can go to 7 games but ultimately, home court advantage will be the decisive factor. Warriors in 7… Lue will probably be outcoached in this series.

I have to go with the Warriors in 5 or 6. Don’t really see the Cavs winning this series. Can Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving play defense? Will JR Smith and Channing Frye shooting come down to earth? Can Lou make the right adjustments so the Cavs can win?

People love to mention that the Cavs won 2 games last playoffs against the Cavs and imagine if the Cavs had Kyrie and Kevin Love. But, people fail to mention that the Cavs played way better defense without them and Kyrie and Kevin Love are negative defenders. This postseason alone when Kyrie on the court the Cavs had a 106 defensive rating with him on the court vs. 92 when he’s off the court. He’s a liability on that end of the court. And I can’t reallty trust Kevin Love this postseason. I can’t see him having a great series given the fact that he have to face Draymond Green.

As for the Warriors, they have home court and that is super huge in this series. Steph Curry looking better by game and Klay Thompson playing way better than he did in last year playoffs. They stuggle with center play, but the Cavs don’t have a defensive answer for the Warriors "death" lineup.

End of the day is that I don’t trust JR Smith staying on fire and when he’s off from the three point line, he’s not good anywhere. I don’t really trust Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love defense. I believe they have answers for Channing Frye and Kevin Love at the three point line. And they are coming in with the two best shooters in the NBA.

Kyrie plays good defense. And plays it with effort. Stop going with the narrative that he’s a bad defender and watch his games.

Kevin Love on the other hand is really a bad defender. His feet are made of bricks but he does give the Cavs a post-up prescence (not just for scoring but for passing out of double-teams) and he boxes out well.

I think it’s funny how everybody assumes just because Kyrie and Love are playing the Cavs will be better suited. I thought the Cavs were somewhat aided last year without those 2. It sounds crazy but hear me out. I will say they are better offensively with them, but also significangly worse defensively. I think the Warriors are going to abuse Kyrie and Love on the defensive end. Last year their injuries allowed Dellavadova to play and while he was limited offensively he disrupted Steph way better defensively than Kyrie would ever dream of for a couple games. Also Love’s injury enabled Thompson to play and he is far more athletic as a perimeter defender in pick in role situations and also brings great energy on the boards. Lastly it forced Cleveland to play through their biggest strength offensively. Lebron was forced to facilitate for himself or his teammates every possesion and that helped a lot. He eventually ran out of energy and needed some more playmakers, but the injuries forced Cleveland to play better defenders who mucked the series up and slowed down the Warriors high paced attack. Love and Irving will have to take their defense to new levels for the Cavs to have a chance. Steph and Klay are salivating at this matchup, vs Kyrie, because whoever he guards will almost certainly go off. Also OKC was able to bother Steph some this past series with their bigs’ athleticism and length, switching the pick and role (until game 7). Early in the series Ibaka and Adams were really contesting Steph’s shots. Kevin Love has zero chance to stop Steph on a switch and could very well be on the bench in the 4th quarter because of this, like he was at times in the Raptors series. Just some of my thoughts. It’s a dilemma for the Cavs because they need Love and Iriving offensively, but it will be very difficult for them to hide them defensively. The Warriors are at there best when they are running and free flowing on offense. In my opinion the best way to beat them is to ugly the game up, be physical and play great defense. Playing with Love and Irving could play right into the Warriors hands. I know this may be an unpopular post, but let me know what you think.

I watched the Warriors just dominate in the regular season.  Then I watched them falter a bit against a very good OKC team and they seemed to lose their confidence a bit in that series before regaining it and closing out the series.

I think that OKC was championship caliber, and they matched up really well against GS until, well GS started playing like GS again.  When the entire GS roster is on, and everyone is involved then the Warriors are unstoppable.  Un.  Stoppable.  I respect Lebron’s game tremendously, and Kyrie really turned a corner this year, but Love has struggled to figure out how to be maximally productive while not being the focus of the offense.  When it comes down to it though, it’s not about the Cavs, their lineup, or whether Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love are healthy.  It’s about GS being the best team in the NBA, with the NBA MVP, and a team that when confident, and healthy, is unquestionaly the best in the NBA.  Nothing against James/Irving/Love, but GS as a team is just better than the Cavs.  As a team, I think that as long as everyone stays healthy, plays within themselves, and continues to trust each other, then we are witnessing the early phase of the Golden State dynasty.  I see this GS lineup winning not only this year, but the next 3 or 4 championships as well.

Without trying to sound too sure of this, after watching the Warriors struggle for the first time against the Thunder how can the Cavs replicate that. The Thunder were able to break the Warriors beautiful offense by switching heavily and neutering the Curry-Green PnR. The Cavs cant do that. Kyrie and Love are bad defenders, and especially struggle against the PnR. LeBron could be a better version of KD guarding Green and switching onto Steph, but that would require Kyrie and Smith to guard Steph and Klay, and that is going to result in a lot of open threes for those guys. The only way they can keep control of Steph IMO is to place LeBron on him, and that will open up the game for the rest of the team.

Meanwhile, Iggy has always been one of the better LeBron guarders in the league, and Green is exactly the sort of player to handle Love. Plus, the Warriors can switch 2-4 (and 2-5 when small) without a problem. The Cavs will take a game (or maybe even two if they get lucky) because they have LeBron and a bucketload of great shooters, but the Dubs absolutely have this. They just played their championship series.

As much as I hate Golden State, I don’t see them losing this series. Cleveland doesn’t have the personnel to play them the way OKC did, and that’s the only way you’re gonna beat them cause like someone already mentioned, you don’t want to find yourself in a shootout with Steph and Klay.

Main thing I’m hoping for is to see Lebron guard Steph. I want to see angry Lebron try and remind the world that he’s still the best

This was the final a lot of us were talking about before the play offs began and Cavs have had an easier run to the final but GSW having somehow come back from 3-1 down against OKC have got out of jail once and will think they can do it again.

It is a hard series to call, people say a reduced strength Cavs team took 2 games off GSW last year but the Raptors took 2 games off the Cavs too and GSW are way stronger than the Raptors.

A lot will depend how King James and Steph Curry MVP play and I can see the series going to at least 6 possibly 7 games. My feeling is after the narrow escape GSW will be relieved to be in the final and if Steph plays like he has done all season then they just edge it.

Unless they put Lebron on Green, when that pick gets set and a switch occurs, Curry is gonna cook man who switched. While Kyrie is a pretty good defender in my eyes, neither he nor J.R. can stop Klay Thompson in the post. And I cant see the Cavs outshooting the Warriors. I want the Cavs to win, but its a tough one. Players like Frye, Shumpert, Delly, Thompson, JR are all gonna have to step up big time.

Last season in the Finals, CLE hedged/doubled Steph on every screen. That may have kept Steph from winning MVP, but he trusted his teammates and made the right plays. I wonder how CLE will defend him this time? Will they hedge/double or switch? IF they switch, Steph will abuse Thompson, Love or Frye (these guys don’t move like Ibaka or Adams,  nor do they have the length). IF they hedge/double, Steph will make the pass to Green, who is a much better player than last season and he’ll make better decisions in that wide open space.

While I think CLE is improved offensively (especially with Frye on the floor), I just don’t think they can defend the Warriors… Especially when they go to their lineup of death. Who guards Green when they go to that lineup? Love? Frye? Thompson? I’m not even sure Love will be able to play in this game during tight moments in the 4th quarters, due to his defensive limitations.

GSW in 6. They’re just a better team.

I would put LeBron on Curry. LeBron understands that if he is going to get his third NBA championship and avoid losing in three straight Finals, it’s going to have to be on the defensive end, kinda like Kawhi on LeBron in 2014, especially with Kyrie and Love healthy and able to carry the offensive load.

LeBron can fight through screens. Let whoever is guarding Dray hedge/help for just a second to cover the angles, and then recover as quickly as possible. I’d probably go J.R. on Klay; J.R. has played solid defense this year. Kyrie can guard Barnes or Iguodala; sure he’s giving a few inches, but I wouldn’t expect the Warriors to repeatedly isolate Barnes or Iguodala in the post. I know Tristan will struggle with Dray on the perimeter, but he’s long, bouncy, and agile.

If LeBron zeroes in almost exclusively on causing Steph Curry to perform well below his averages, it will go a long way in solidifying LeBron as one of the most versatile players in the history of the league, and it will also reinforce him as a "whatever it takes to win" kind of guy.

So much attention placed on GSW regular season record, and their undeniable history making back court, makes it difficult to see this series going anything more than 6. However, I think that those who have not payed much attention to the Cavs are going to be dissappointed in their hopes of a gsw repeat victory.

I have the Cavs outplaying GSW even with Curry and Thompson getting theirs in one or two games.

And even with the primadonnas of GSW getting away with fouls as they have all season.

I am looking forward to shutting down the Warriors in both games one and two in hard fought high scoring games and ripping thier hearts out in games 3 and 4 with all 3 cavs superstars going for thier usual 20+ points per , totaly nulifying GSW regular season accomplishments by getting sweeped by the Cavs in the Finals.

no seriuously I think this goes 6 and the Cavs and Lebron get one for the Land.
