If you were watching GS and Memphis and changed the channel when they were up 90-66 (like I almost did), you missed a great one. The Grizzlies came back and beat them in OT playing ZBo and Gasol against the Death Lineup, which I find interesting because there was a long time last year where people said there was no way you could beat them playing like that. I know that Memphis had some luck with all the missed free throws, but they still shot a whole lot of them in the 4th and they played great great defense. Troy Daniels, Mike Conley, and ZBo with a little bit of Gasol all came up huge on both sides of the court.

That said, what does this say about the Warriors? I’ve said earlier in the season that they let teams come back in the game and that can hurt them in the playoffs. Some people will say that it’s just 1 game and doesn’t mean anything, but this is 1 of many leads they’ve blown this season and Memphis killed them last time they played so I think there’s something here that other teams should look to learn from when playing Golden State.

Also, as a Thunder fan seeing KD miss 3 straight FTs and a bunch of open shots in crunch time was beautiful. Really reminded me of games 5-7 last year.

It shows their lack of depth. Doug Collins on the broadcast was talking about how Memphis wears you down over the course of a game, and sure enough come the 4th quarter GS had no legs left. Missing good looks at the rim and multiple free throws. The Grizz were faster to the ball down the stretch

When teams like the Cavs and Spurs see GSW blowing a big lead it will certainly encourage them that if they can keep within some sort of range there is a chance to get back into games in a big Finals/Conference Finals series.

One thing I never thought about until last night was how KD would affect their late game situations. The main criticism against OKC (and still is) was that all we do in the 4th quarter in crunch time is iso, and there was a time last night when Draymond was screaming at Durant to get in a PnR with Steph and get ZBo on to Steph, but Durant just dribbled up and missed a contested 3. Obviously though it can be fixed and it could just be his natural inclination to do that since that’s been his answer for the past 9 years
