Warriors beat the Heat! 15-7 on the season
As a Warriors fan, I've finally become a believer, the game they played against the Heat today was absolutely amazing. The craziest thing was that the Heat really did come to play, they played great late in the game, but the Warriors took over. Jarret Jack was amazing, with the game tied, Jarrett Jack jaws about to go up for a contested jumpshot, but then threw a layup alley pop to Draymond Green who somehow got behind Battier. The 4th quarter was amazing basketball, almost flawless by both teams. The Warriors dre 15-7 on the season and 5-0
The Warriors are legit, and they three legit 20 ppg scorers plus Jarret Jack. Carl Landry is another scorer, and Draymond Green has been a pleasant surprise. This team is here to stay, I really think we can go far this season. I haven't been this excited since the We Believe year, this is unbelievable!
Yeah this was a really nice game, Jack threw that pass perfectly, and the misdirect by Jackson was masterful; he knew that Miami would be terrified of Thompson and Curry hitting jumpers off screens so they over-committed on help and Jackson made them pay. Outstanding coaching, great pass by Jack and overall a really impressive win.
Once again, Miami looked underwhelming and the Warriors looked great. Curry was forcing shots towards the end of the 4th, which could lead to trouble down the line, but that's a concern for another day. I used to hate the Warriors when they were a run and gun team who played no D and were perennial losers, but when they drafted my favourite prospect in Barnes I decided to give them a chance and the team is almost unrecognisable. You still have Thompson and Curry taking the occasional (okay more than that) quick jumpers, but you also get better defensive intensity and aggressive rebounding that was missing in the past.
All this without Bogut! If he is healthy by season's end, this team is going to be a nightmare to face in the playoffs, they have enough weapons to scare any team in a seven-game series, and with Jackson growing as a coach, they are starting to use them properly.
David Lee has been playing out of his mind. Just brings it all on the line every time he steps on the court. He was one of my favorite players in the league when he was on the Knicks and he's showing me why. The Dubs are one of those teams I hope make the Playoffs.
David Lee is probably one of the most consistently underrated players in the NBA. He's such a good scorer inside the arc and a lot tougher than he's given credit for on the boards (both offensively and defensively, he had 5 o-reb tonight). The strange part is, averages wise, he's been playing this well for years, yet I feel like he's always left out of most discussions...
"...I feel like he's always left out of most discussions..."
Well, years of him playing on losing teams definitely did not help the discussions.
He had an allstar birth so to say that he was completely unrecognized is an understatment, even if it was just as a replacement fo AI.
The heat desperately need a bigman that can rebound and defend. The heat players are all shooting really efficiently but they dont rebound(they are 29th in rebounding) Bosh needs to crash the boards hard, you cant have lebron leading the team in points, assists, and rebounds. Eventually he will wear down, I thought the whole reason he went there was for help. It is fine if he is leading in 2 but you want him focusing on 2. So that he can focus his energy on those. Eventually this will hurt them.
Like the Warriors, but lets no forget that might be the worst division in the nba!
GS did a great offseason last year : a new coach (and it seems to be a good choice), a good deal for J.Jack, keeping Rush (at a very affordable price), drafting solid players (barnes and green) and the real steal carl landry at only 4M...
The only mistake was maybe taking jefferson's awfull contract whereas they could have kept former captain jax'...
