qDizzle32ParticipantI’m not understanding why I don’t ever see him listed in anybody’s mock draft and under the International 1994 rankings, he is ranked as Honorable Mention. He averages 20 ppg and 10 rebounds in the CBA which is arguably the most competitive league overseas outside of Europe. He also outplayed Nerlens Noel in the Hoop Summit game two years ago.

frogmanParticipantThe fact that I just read his name for the 1st time in my life might have something to do with it.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantI’m very high on him and you got a plus 1 from me. Kid is super skilled and agile. I think like Nedovic last year, he’ll sneak into the 1st round even though the "experts" were not well versed on him. Competent big men are at a premium nowadays and he has a lot of potential. The only reason he may not get much hype is the failure Yi (to which his game is comparable) and every other Asain besides Jeremy Lin and Yao. He also is not very bulky but that has become somewhat of trend from Anthony Davis to Nerlens to eventually Myles Turner and Thon Maker. Regardless, good on ya to hopefully educate some people on him

RUDEBOY_ParticipantHe’s a lumbering big man that many people feel doesnt have the strength, experience or defensive ability to accomplish much in the nba…But he’s skilled, has good footwork,a nice touch around the rim, outstanding rebounder and he’s shown he can hit shots from mid-range…….Most likely a 2nd round pick or Undrafted………
1 reason he’s not on alot of posters mocks is becuz this site is comparing him to John Bryant..Bryant has been the butt of many poster’s jokes….lmao

qDizzle32ParticipantAssuming he won’t come out this year if I haven’t heard any signs or anything about him in anyone else’s. I’d definitely have him as a 1st rounder but if he does declare, I’ll throw him in immediatley.

DolanCareParticipantAfter the Nike Hoop Summit I’ve wondered the same thing. Apparently, scouts are fairly convinced that he’s older than his listed age. There was similar skepticism for Biymbo and I’m hearing the apprehension is greater in the case of Zhelin.

qDizzle32ParticipantI do believe there is a good chance that Biyombo is older than what he is listed (B. 1992) but people are saying he could be 24-30. I remember reading a source prior to the draft saying that a doctor who did his x-rays saying that he could still possibly grow from the results (that was 2011). Probably at the oldest he could have been born in 1989. Since the Chinese have a different calendar, there have been various Chinese athletes who have been caught lying such as Yi Jianlian (Born in 1984 not 1987) and a lot of their gymnastics athletes were too young to participate in the Olympics. Guo Ailun is also believed to been born before 1993. Even if Zhelin is older than listed, he should still get drafted.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantNot to sound ignorant or anything but how does a different calendar contribute to the Chinese govt lying about their age, the two things seem completely unrelated to me…
