With Wall out for about 2 months, this does not look good for the Wizards. They already lack depth, especially at the point guard spot, and haven’t done too well without Wall in the lineup. How do you think this affects their standing? Do they still make the playoffs? What can they do to alleviate the impact of this loss?

I think they’ll struggle but still make the playoffs with a surge when Wall comes back. I also think they should look at getting a better point guard too. I figure Augustine in Orlando should be available (possibly get Hezonja thrown in too?).

I actually like how Satoransky has performed this year. He’s improved a lot in terms of his overall feel for the game. I think he’ll be decent in Wall’s absence. But yeah, this is pretty bad for the Wizards, who were struggling to win consistently even with Wall healthy. Porter, Oubre and Morris are really going to have to step up on both ends of the court. The East is still pretty weak, so I’d be disappointed if the Wizards finished lower than 6th, but I wouldn’t put it past them to finish worse. I’d say the Wizards should try to make a trade, but I can’t see them having enough pieces to make something work unless they want to part with a major piece in order to bolster depth.

On the bright side, his injury opened up a spot for Drummond on the All-star team, so there’s that.

They played good tonight but that was Prolly inspired by Wall missing.. They gonna need to get rid of Porter he just isn’t good. They gonna be bad again without Wall.

They need to get a beter defensive center to replace Gortat. Wall is prone to being lazy on defense and getting beat by his man, and Gortat or Kieff just aint that good to cover those up.
