NCarmean18ParticipantFab has been impressive and is the main reason defensively why Syracuse is #1 in the nation. 7 rebounds and 10 blocks, you don’t get any better than that.

JrbenzCuse23They have Fab going 30th next year and Dion not going at all as well as CJ and Southerland not on any boards. I just can’t take this site seriously lol I’ve never seen such a collection of length and talent on one team. I can’t take them blowing every mediocre player who goes to UNC or Kentucky. If they got the same exact guys Cuse did they would be all on they Johnson’s.

JoeWolf110 blocks against Seton Hall doesn’t magically put Melo in the lotto conversation. He has shown improvement this season, but is very much a work in progress.
Jeff Withey had 13 points 13 rebounds and 9 blocks against Long Beach State and he’s an 84% FT shooter, you don’t see anybody outraged he’s not bursting into the first round on any mocks.
Not every college shot blocker is able to be a successful NBA center. Fab has to answer some more questions before a team is going to be willing to reach for him. The guy looked like he didn’t know how to play basketball last year.

LawDeeZeeParticipantFab is playing much better, but he still has a lot to prove to show that he can be a dominant or even viable NBA shot blocker … he’s not the most athletic big in the nation, I would definately say that Anthony Davis and John Henson both, appear at the moment to translate into better shot blockers at the next level.
As for Waiters, he’s been playing very well this season and might find his way somewhere into the late first or early to mid second round if he can maintain this level of play through the big east schedule. He’s still young and has time to develop. I’m a syracuse fan, but there are better prospects out there in terms of NBA potential.

JrbenzCuse23Dion is big strong fast, he can shoot, he leads nation in steals per 100 possessions and has as many highlight dunks as anybody in the country. Other sites have nba scouts calling him lottery pick and better tyreke evans. Idk I feel like his game is more nba ready and translatable than any sg in country. This man is a flat out playmaker and the best player on the best team in the country

JrbenzCuse23Fab has shown more offensive potential than thabeet ever did.hes also a quicker and more explosive leaper and thabeet went number 2. Idk just my opinion from watching the cuse every game as well as seeing every other team play a couple times. He is a force defensively even when he’s not blocking 10. Plus most of 10 were on herb pope one of best big men in country

Bmore_DCParticipant@JoeWolf…
im curious…since you said Len could go lottery, what do you see in him and not in Melo? I agree last year he looked clueless but ive watched every Cuse game this year and hes a totally different player and will be in the NBA someday…he prob needs another year or 2 tho…

JoeWolf1Alex Len doesn’t have a year of college basketball under his belt, in which is stock plummeted from a top 10 pick in 2011 to a 3 or 4 year player. There just aren’t the questions, yet. Len has played one game, I’m not saying he’s going to be great, but if he continues this season and puts up numbers like he did in his 1st game scouts will see a 7 footer who averaged 14, 8 and 3 in his first college season and they’ll be willing to roll the dice on a 7 footer. Then again, Len could struggle and his stock could plummet, my comment was IF he continued his pace or improved from his 1st college game then I think he could be a lotto possibility.
Melo on the other hand is much more raw, and has some more questions to answer. I’m not the biggest Fab Melo supporter, but I will give it to him that he has improved, and he will play in the NBA if he continues to improve next season. That being said I still see more Dan Gadzuric than I do Dwight Howard or even DeAndre Jordan.

Bmore_DCParticipantyea i agree he is strictly a shot blocker/rebounder at the next level…
