SportsNinjaParticipantThis site has Baldwin going in the second round to Phoenix at #34. Is this an error or have I vastly overrated him?

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantNo way does he fall past Philadelphia at 24 IMO…
The 76ers are praying that there are some Guards available at 24, Baldwin is the short list of players they’re looking to add at G in the Draft, I heard they also love Demetrius Jackson and Dejounte Murray but I think they’ll both be gone by the time Philly selects 24th…
Heard they have a promise to Deandre Bembry to draft him 26th or early 2nd if another Guard falls…

220ParticipantThe 76ers don’t have a second round pick, so how could they promise to add Bembry in the early second round?
Do you like Wade Baldwin more than Demetrius Jackson? I realize adding Ben Simmons who will likely have the ball in his hands significantly, the 76ers need at point guard changes somewhat.
Also who do you like better between Patrick McCaw and DeAndre Bembry? I’m leaning more toward McCaw right now for the 76ers if he’s available.
I don’t see the 76ers being as high on Dejounte Murray because of his lack of shooting at the moment. I imagine the 76ers picks at 24 and 26 will be guys who can really shoot the ball if they keep the picks.

jabbar_medvedenkoParticipantFor some reason, players like Taurean Prince, Demetrius Jackson, Tyler Ulis, Paul Zipser, Ante Zizic, Timothe Luwawu and Baldwin are really underestimated at this site. They are mostly considered sure-fire first rounders in all the other mock drafts on the web yet don’t get much love from the staff here obviously as all of them I think have those prospect scores under 90. I would put Henry Ellenson in that category too, just seems like poor scouting there, as they compare him to Brian Scalabrine and Brian Cardinal although I think it’s only because of appearance, not actual game.
On the other hand, Brice Johnson, DeJounte Murray and Domantas Sabonis are consistently top 20 and have top scores (93/4/5) here although some sites have them up to 20 spots below.

druneave3ParticipantBulls have a soft promise to Baldwin at 14, assuming he is still available and no one else falls, it is reported by several people that he will be the pick. He worked out for Sacremento who could use a PG, but I have constantly heard that the draft really drops off after 8, and Waldwin is not one of those 8 players. As a Bulls fan I am hoping Utah takes him at 12, as he could potentially fit nice with both Exum and Burks. Milwaukee is another possibility as well.
He is a solid prospect with great size and incredible length. A good, but not great, athlete. Everytime I watched him I was always left wanting more, and was too much of a non-factor, or hardly noticed him on the floor. The Westbrook comparison needs to stop now. If he played with one-tenth the amount of intesinity Westbrook played with I would be willing to take a chance on him because of his size, length, and defensive potential. But he doesn’t. If his constant effort changes and if he is able to play with a little "nasty" then he will be a solid pro worthy of a lottery selection. I’ve read in several places that workouts and the combine have elevated his draft stock after being inconsistent at Vandy. However, I have seen a few draft followers that have had him ranked in the top 10 for the past year now.

dudo670ParticipantEveryone loves him for measurables and stats. Can’t deny measurables but there’s an article on some SB nation site about how Baldwin feasts on crappy teams and struggles against good teams. He may shoot 40% from three and get rebounds and steals but he didn’t impact the most important stat: wins. His team wasn’t that good; even with two potential first round picks. He’s a guy the analytics guys love but he won’t do it in the pros. Slow first step, won’t blow by guys. Not great creating his own offense. He’ll hang in the league because of his defensive potential and size so that warrants a first round pick in this awful draft but he’s not going to be an all star.

kobyzParticipantOverrated, only look good in the eye test, but not a pure talent and not the best feel for the game…

kobyzParticipantProven Once again right on the money by calling him most overrated in the draft…

GBeeParticipantIf it means anything, he’s one of the 14 green room invitees.
.net is most likely more wrong on him than they are right.
We’ll see if they stick to their guns after that announcement.

GBeeParticipantLoL. They bumped him up like 20 spots to 18 after having him as a 2nd rounder for just about the entire year.
30 spots behind the likes of Dejounte Murray on their big board.
This site is hilarious.
