Russell0WestbrookParticipantWho do you guys feel were some of the most impressive players this year in vegas summer league? I will just name a couple and I’m not including Wall and Cousins because we already knew they were both studs coming into summer league. The most impressive players to me were
Demar Derozen- the same as above and he was the best player on the floor every game he played in
Derrick Caracter- showed he has game and may finally have his head on straight
Lin- seriously who knew?
Bill Walker- Is he finally back to the guy who was suppose to be the next VC?
Ed Davis- This guy can play its time to give him some credit
Ladry Fields- Lance who? nah just playing but he showed he was worthy of the pick but that other guy Rautins better find his stoke or Walsh will be hated for a long tome for passing LanceIts a lot more but those are just a couple guys that stood out to me. Who are some you guys really thought stood out that had people doubting their games?

TRC1991ParticipantDwayne Mitchell from the Spurs really impressed me with his finishing around the basket and ability to handle contact…Alonzo Gee was also nice to watch for San Antonio…I think both are in the running to make the team

omar dayzeParticipantDominique Jones: I know his performances might not have been a shock, but it wasnt a given that he’d be that effective either… I didnt know he had such good D, and his body control through contact and contorting his body to get shots off, is something that is a valuable skill for a guard in the league. Really impressed me.
Im also thinking its about time Morris Almond was given a proper chance at the NBA

Meditated StatesParticipantDid not force his offense and shot ove 50 percent. Also showed very solid passing skills. Davis is better on D than Bosh so that team will be better there. Bosh is a chump on D seriously. Larry Sanders is going to help Jennings a lot and be helped by Jennings a lot. Lin is going to make a team he is 6 ft3 and a good athelete with crazy handle and speed. Not Vegas, but Heringody can shoot and has a very quick release much quicker than I thought

BasterdInABasketParticipantDeron Washington was pretty impressive. Needs a shot but was usually the most athletic player on the court and had some pretty creative finishes and not just dunks but also finishing hard through contact.
Another guy from Milwaukee, Larry Sanders. They werent lying when they said he might be the fastest big man end to end in the entire league. A little thin now but he has some springs and great hands and a 7’6” wingspan and was a great shotblocker in SL. I was surprised to see he has a really nice looking jumper. Just yesterday had a crossover between the legs step back jumper he hit from about 16 feet. I was very impressed. Hell get minutes next year.

Demarcus OnealParticipantLarry Sanders is one the most versataile players i have seen in a long time and he is an outstanding defender wit a raw offensive game but he has a great all-around game but does all the little things on the court that you need

stanford hoopsEbanks and Ed Davis. Caracter already had his head on straight last year in college. Zero problems. At louville he had a prob with his weight and the coach. Has never been a head case

OhCanada-ParticipantSanders and Davis will be defensive phenoms.
McGee is going to emerge now that he has a playmaking PG with him. Also confidence as a starter.
Fields may not be a bad selection, Vasquez maybe.
Bobby Brown has a good chemistry with Derozan and Weems.
Wall is superquick even at this level and just blows by players taking them on 3 at a time, if he realizes his potential he is like the true mine Lebron not Rose, because Wall is going at another speed and is on a superior level mentally playing at that speed. If you have the athletisism you have to know how to use it and frankly Rose tends to hold it back at times.Wall lets it all go and although he is playing wild, when he learns how to play that way and developes more skills along the way that is going to be extremely dangerous for the rest of the league.
Portlands Ibekwe deserves a minimum level contract based on potential. He had a 10pts 8rebs 2stls 5blks 4 of 5 statline at SF.He also has a 5pts 13rebs 4blks at PF.If you sign this raw player for 1 year with a team option for a 2nd year so if hes good he cant get away. Let him play in the practices and leave him active on the bench ready to fill in for whoever gets hurt. Since he plays 3 positions and maybe signed by Portland he would probally play like 50 games and then get injured..After he plays and practices for one season evaluate his growth as a player and give him a contract based on that or dont.

stanford hoopsMcgee should be a good role player. Wall won’t help his foul problems though
love walls game but needs to take a page from rose and not try to go fast all the time. The best players know when to change it up and when to hold it back. You can’t succeed playing at one speed all the time and I’m pretty sure he will learn that
