European BasketballerParticipantVasileios Charalampopoulos is considered to be one of the biggest young talents in Europe. Some say he is even the best or second best player in Europe in his age group.
He is a 16 year old 6’7″ small forward. He is projected to grow to about 6’9″ and to end up being a power forward though.
Here he is in YouTube:

European BasketballerParticipantSome info on him this last season. He trained with the big Euroleague team Panathinaikos and was on their practice squad all year, playing against the senior men’s team players in practice. This is very, very unusual for a high school sophomore.
He also played in the 5th Division in Greece’s best high school league, in the same league that Giannis Antetokounmpo played in.
Charampopoulos was voted the 2nd best player in the league, while Antetokounmpo was voted the 3rd best player in the league.
Charalampopoulos also led his team to the league’s championship.
Keep in mind though, that Charalampopoulos was playing against seniors mostly. He was playing mostly against guys two years older than him, and he still was voted as 2nd best player of the league and got the championship.

tabone1ParticipantImpressive looking youngster. Doesn’t look Greek though.
Future’s bright for the young Greeks. Can’t we’re discussing players born in ’97. Getting old.

SiggyParticipantHe’s only 16 and already moves like his knees hurt. LoL’ing at the first “highlight.” Did they really need to repeat that?

CynthiaParticipantWhat I don’t understand is how every player you post about is 1st or 2nd best in Europe for their age group, well there isn’t very many age groups. So there’s about 150 1st or 2nd best players in Europe??? Seems legit.

GreekParticipantActually he looks legit wing prospect with nice athleticism and frame for his age. Skilled lefty but very dominant if i can judge from the highlights.
Aside from EB attitude i actually enjoy to read his findings (and i know that he is overhype them)

King CaluchaParticipantActually he looks more like a faceup PF than a SF to me…

European BasketballerParticipantAs I said, he is projected to be a PF. He is being trained to play that position by Panathinaikos. But he’s only 16, so of course he plays SF for now.
