Getting excited for the National Team season. Here is the final roster for USA u18, suprises? thoughts?

Tyler Lydon is a bit of suprise, but i get it. He has a lot of potential on the next level.

Lydon would only be considered a surprise because of his ranking (around 60) on sites like ESPN, Rivals, etc.  Billy Donovan’s comments suggest that the 12 ‘best’ players weren’t essentially chosen for this team.  Rather they were looking for players with certain skill sets to compliment one another.  Lydon is a 6’9" stretch 4 that can be effective against international competition.  By the end of next season I imagine Lydon will be ranked a lot higher.

I was hoping Richardson made the team…., which would have made 2 future Orange players on the team.  Then again I’m sure Boeheim would have got a lot of flack for having two of his future players on the team (since he is the chair of the committee).

As an Illini fan, pretty disappointed Leron Black didn’t make the make the squad though I wasn’t really expecting it. Also, Brunson is an unbelievable scorer. Love that kid.

Jaylen Brown is a big time wing 6’7 220 and extremely skilled. Think he should be the favorite to be #1 pick in 16.

I’m high on Brown too. He’s really got some big time talent. Starting to sound like he may be headed for Kentucky. Could be the most physically talented wing player Cal has ever coached(more than MKG). Also really excited to see what Myles Turner will do this season in college.

I was a little surprised Tyler Lydon made the final cut over Chase Jeter but maybe that could have been the right move. The one guy I am the most excited about watching is Jaylen Brown. I’ve been hearing so many positive things sinced his impact at the Adidas Euro Camp. After watching so many highlights, I just love the way how aggressivley he attacks the basket and even has a decent outside shot. My sleeper to be the best player from the 2015 class by the end of the year.

I don’t think Brown is going to Kentucky but things could definitely change. I do think his top 3 are UK, UCLA and Ga Tech but I have heard he may want to stay close to home

Much rather see him at Georgia Tech than the other schools to really see what he is capable of. I think if he goes to Kentucky he will be slightly limited because they just have so many options, the same thing that kept James Young’s numbers down this year. I think UCLA is in it but with distance it could be tough. I have also heard that he wants to stay close to home, and because of that Georgia is also in it with him still. Tech has the right caliber of talent to let him be the featured guy but also have some complimentary guys around him while playing in the ACC.
