primetimeParticipantI know its VERY early to predict, but in your opinion who would be on your 2012 USA Olympic team? Mine would be:
PG: Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose
SG:Dwyane Wade, Stephen Curry
SF:LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony
PF:Kevin Durant, Chris Bosh, Blake Griffin
C: Dwight Howard, Andrew BynumJust missed: John Wall, etc.

gainsey15ParticipantI think if Eric Gordon keeps the shooting up he may sneak in a head of Curry, his game is built for the FIBA game. And I think the way Coach K seems to keep talking about him AI9 might find a way on the team as a shut down defender, like Prince in 08.

primetimeParticipantTo be honest, i cant see AI9 on this team unless Melo or LeBron doesnt play and thats highly unlikely. I dont see Kobe playing in ’12 so I have Curry a la Redd/Miller role. Having a defensive stopper on the team wouldnt hurt though. I just dont see a lot of spots avaliable. This Olympic team is going to be stacked if all these players do commit.

Charlie SheenParticipantPG- Paul, Williams and Rose
SG- Durant, Wade, Curry/Gordon
SF- James, Gay
PF- Anthony, Bosh
C- Howard, ChandlerWade would keep that 6th man role
AnthoNY/Durant/James are interchangable
Kobe wouldnt put extra wear and tear on his body since the Lakers would still be a force

gainsey15ParticipantYOu maybe right but I just think they’ll end up placing a top tier wing defender on the team weather it’s AI9 or another top tier wing defender IDK

Mr. JewboyParticipantstoudemire said he plans on playin in the olympics, and i think that john wall will be good enough by then. here’s my prediction:
Pg-Deron Williams, Derrick Rose, John Wall
Sg- Kevin Durant, Dwayne Wade
Sf- Lebron James, Andre Iguadala
Pf-Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh
C-Dwight Howard, Amare StoudemireThe last spot will go to-stephen curry, eric gordon or some other shooter
Note- I dont think Paul will be on the team for two reasons. The first, he is pretty injury-prone and might be injured then. The second reason is that he’ll be a free agent that year, which as we saw bothers(james, wade, bosh, boozer…)
I’m also not to high on wade as he is also injury prone and will be 30 years old already. If he doesnt play Probly tyreke evans takes his place, or maybe blake griffin0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/29/2010 - 1:21am #388861

adjose5Participantpg: Williams/Paul/Rose
sg: Wade/Roy/Gordon
sf: Lebron/ Melo
pf: Durant/Amare
C: Howard/BoshAlot of variables here….if Kobe doesn’t play, I can see B Roy getting out there especially given a chance for USA since he’s been hurt n his coach- Mcmillan has said he wants to see him out there, if CP3 dont play bc of FA status, i can see Iggy being on there as well. the specialist comes down to Curry or Gordon…I really like Blake Griffin n hope he can play instead of Amare but Amare has the experience so we’ll see
