Unification of "NBA Draft" and "NBA" forum

This site has 4 main forums.

1. NBA Draft

2. NBA

3. NBA Fantasy

4. Off Topic

I was just looking at the "NBA" forum, and it seems this website has solved the spam issue. At one point the entire "NBA" forum was filled with spam. Now, its very easy to scan through all the posts from users who dont seem to know that the nobody comments on that forum, and i noticed that there are quality threads which could be posted under "NBA Draft" for us to read and comment.

So what gives for a "NBA" forum, used solely by those who dont know better. If anything it gives a bad rep to this website as someone new could possibly think the website is dead.

The "NBA Draft" forum will always talk about nba players, i say we combine both forums for the sake of quality.

I would also say the site

I would also say the site admin should either take away the thumbs up/thumbs down or make it if someone gives you a thumbs down they must comment on the post and give their opinion on why the have a different opinion.

I know I don't post on here alot because there seems to be a lot of haters that just give thumb downs, but then you have no comments so you can't have a debate because you don't know why they disagree with you.

I'm a fan of the thumbs

I'm a fan of the thumbs up/down thing, there aren't many haters here at all, but there are many users who don't post much but still look through the threads and vote on posts they like or dislike. It's not always about disagreeing, if someone makes a good post with quality argumentation, it will rarely get a lot of negs just for going against the common opinion, that's one of the great things about this forum.

You'll occaisionally get negged, sure, but who cares? It's just a silly number on an internet site. That's no reason to hold back or refrain from posting.

The forum is fine. The system

The forum is fine. The system is in place. Weve been doing this for a decade and the users have pretty much implemented how the forum is used. All my posts go into NBADraft and will continue to.

As far as thumbs up/negs go dont worry about it. I dont judge a user based on how many points they have and I doubt anyone really does. I actually make posts at times knowing people will neg me and sometimes I hope they will just so I can pull up the post 6 months later and prove them wrong. Its a good indicator to see if people agree or disagree with you. It can also show if youre content is being informative or entertaining.

It honestly keeps me in check sometimes to. Like if I misquote an article or a name, or I give wrong information on personnel I will lose points fast. Its better that its there for everyone than only for the people commenting.

I go on forums for the debate

I go on forums for the debate and discussion with other members. I still think nothing will beat the Draft Express forums when they were in their heyday in early to mid 2000's. There was so much good basketball and draft discussion and debate on those forums with alot of well informed fans.
