I checked the rumors section on espn today, and it looks like Jon Scheyer is going to be one of the first un-drafted free agents to get a summer league invite. With Chicago trading Hinrich and bypassing an opportunity to pick up a shooting guard in the 1st round Scheyer seems like a pretty good and cheap option for them, they need shooters and I honestly think he'd fit in pretty well there. Heres the article
One name that didn't get drafted on Thursday night? Duke's John Scheyer.
But it's possible the Bulls might invite him onto their Summer League team for a chance to nab a roster spot once the season starts.
When asked if the Bulls might take a flyer on Scheyer, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune responded: "Yes."
Scheyer is a local product, hailing from the Northbrook, IL., a suburb of Chicago.
If the Bulls go about adding two max free agents in July, the team won't have much money to fill out the rest of their roster. As such, Scheyer could be a solid, cheap option as a shooter and ballhandler off the bench
