ChewyParticipantThe Big Ten finally won one last year (only by one game) and somewhat proved that this is the ACC VS Big Ten challenge not the ACC BEATS Big Ten challenge. With the Big Ten having the consensus best conference in the land they should win it for the 2nd year in a row (which would put them at like 2-7 all time).
Virginia @ Minnesota (W to B10)
North Carolina @ Illinois (W to B10, not sure about this one)
Ohio State @ Flordia State (W to B10 easy)
Michigan @ Clemson (W to ACC)
Georgia Tech @ Northwestern (W to B10)
Iowa @ Wake Forest (W to ACC in blowout)
Michigan State @ Duke (W to ACC, especially in Durhan)
Purdue @ Virginia Tech (W to B10)
North Carolina State @ Wisconsin (W goes to home court B10)
Indiana @ Boston College (W to ACC)
Maryland @ Penn State (W to ACC)
Total: Big Ten gets by again 6-5

T-Wolvesfan13Participant^^^^^ They played great D on him. And because of the D when he did get open looks he was rushing and would miss open shots.

BiggysmallsParticipantVery entertaining game if you are a Gophers fan (which I am), probably frustrating for a UNC fan. Both teams played sloppy offensively, and had errors defensively. It came down to MN being able to knock down more 3s in this one as UNC couldnt hit a 3 to save their souls.
Barnes struggled, but watching him play, you can definitly see the hype, which is saying alot when a guy goes 0-12 or whatever he went. He’s a big, athletic, smooth wing who is going to be a very good player. He got for the most part pretty good shots that just werent falling, though the Gophers have as good of a frontcourt in America this year that features a ton of size.
Huge win for the Gophers though, especially considering that their best offensive player, Devoe Joseph didnt play. Al Nolen did a very good job controlling tempo, Blake Hoffarber hit enough 3s and the Big guys outplayed the UNC bigs.

JNixonParticipantRodney Williams played OUTSTANDING D on Barnes this game. His length and athleticism really bothered him and Barnes had to work super hard to get the ball, let alone score.

dude1955ParticipantKeep drinking the koolaide. I watched the game and I wasnt disappointed with the 0-12 effort, I was however disappointed in the competitive edge that Barnes did not show. This is what happens when your told that your so good and havent proved anything against top level competition. If your struggling you get to the line, you get a steal, or you find a way to win. Im so tired of this potential grade that all these guys are given when they havent produced, and once again I will beat this drum till its heard…How can Prospect A have more " potential" than Prospect B, when Prospect A is the same age or a year younger than Prospect B who is a junior in college and has produced???

stanford hoopsNot sure if you watched but they said tyreke Evans and Derrick rose (i think) struggled in this event and they seemed to have turned out well. All all amercians have played against lower competition then college and alot have a game or two where they struggle ( last year Demarcus cousins and John wall had games where they struggles) It happens

dude1955ParticipantEveryone has an off night my issue is that there is no toughness. I watched D Rose struggle especially in the game at the garden against mayo but he was agressive and went hard. I am just saying if you are suppose to be the best thing since sliced bread everyone is going to go at you and even though u dont shiit well you should still show some guts. What do you think you are going to face in NBA. Id rather take a bunch of guys that have chips on their shoulders because they didnt get the pub than guys that have been "projected" this or that and just show up. Its about production not potential.

stanford hoopsI’m not understanding you’re point then. Barnes went hard. He wasn’t just sitting at the three point line shooting threes. He went in the post, he drive to the basket, mind range. Attacked offensive glass. He just missed his shots. You could clearly see he was going hard. That’s never been a issue with barnes. You’ll never find a scouting report that says he doesn’t go hard. And rose had games where he did “go hard” and settled for jumpers

JNixonParticipantIt’s not very smart to judge Barnes off of this one game. He’ll prove you wrong though. I guess that’s what you want anyway. I thought he played good D throughout the game and attacked the glass well. Just because he didn’t make a shot from the field doesn’t mean he lacked passion. He shot bad, but I wouldn’t even say he played a bad game or a lethargic game, like you’re saying. Did you watch the game?
