ItsVictorOladipoParticipantSince we’re entering round 3 and there are 90 players left to be selected, I thought it might be helpful to list some of the top players left by position througout the decades. Just my opinion and they’re not always neccesarily the best players available at those positions, merely that teams in the fifth round might be looking for more specialist players and might prefer a defensive stopper, pure shooter or all around player rather than a former star (the reason why Bruce Bowen, Michael Cooper, Anthony Mason are included)
PG
Dave Bing (7 time All-Star retired with 20.3 PPG and 6 APG)
Tim Hardaway (5 time All-Star averaged 17.3 PPG and 8.2 APG for career)
Lenny Wilkens (9 time All-Star averaged 16.5 PPG and 6.7 APG over 16 year career)
Chauncey Billups (tough defender and clutch shooter made five All-Star teams)
Tony Parker (4 time champion and 6 time All-Star is still running the Spurs offense)
Kevin Johnson (4 All-NBA second teams and 1 third team, career 17.9 PPG, 9.1 APG)
Penny Hardaway (6-7 PG made 4 All-Star teams before injuries derailed his career)
Maurice Cheeks (4 time All-Star could pass and defend with the best of them)
Gail Goodrich (also played SG, Hall of Famer made 5 All-Star teams)
Michael Ray Richardson (6-5 PG, 4 time All-Star, drug problems hurt career)
JoJo White (7 time All-Star, 2 time champion averaged 17.2 PPG and 4.9 APG in career)
Calvin Murphy (The Isaiah Thomas of his era, pint sized PG who filled up the scoreboard)
Fat Lever (triple double machine for 4 years. 19.8 PPG, 7.9 APG, 9.3 RPG, 2.7 SPG in ’89)
Stephon Marbury (averaged at least 19.8 PPG and 7.6 APG for eight straight seasons)
Norm Van Lier (like Cheeks a very good defender and passer, 8 All-Defensive teams)
Gus Williams (scoring PG averaged at least 18 PPG for seven straight seasons)
Deron Williams (averaged at least 18 PPG and 10 APG for 4 straight seasons in Utah)
John Wall (explosive 3 time All-Star, approaching his prime, 19.9 APG, 10.2 APG in 2016)
SG
Joe Dumars (could pass, shoot, score and defend at a high level, 6 time All-Star)
Dennis Johnson (also PG who could play very well at both ends of the court)
David Thompson (one of the first ABA/NBA stars is 1 of just 5 players with 70 pt games)
Vince Carter (also SF who could put up major points and made 8 All-Star teams)
Earl Monroe (flash but also substance, similar to Pistol Pete who is long gone)
Hal Greer (10 time All-Star was the second best SG during the Jerry West era)
Sam Jones (one of the most clutch scorers all time)
Klay Thompson (great shooter and good defender)
Sidney Moncrief (great two way player in the 80s made five All-Star teams)
Drazen Petrovic (very good shooter could have been an all time NBA great)
Manu Ginobli (great glue player, every championship team needs someone like him)
Mitch Richmond (averaged between 21.9 and 25.9 PPG for the first 10 years of career)
James Harden (we might hate on his inefficiency but his stats are as good as anyones)
Eddie Jones (underrated player, made 3 All-Star teams and 3 All-Defensive second teams)
Latrell Sprewell (tenacious competitor at both ends of the court)
Bill Sharman (one of the greatest shooters of the early era)
Jeff Hornacek (great shooter, good passer, team player, in his best year averaged 20/5/5/2)
Reggie Theus (6-7 SG who also played PG, 18.5 PPG and 6.3 APG for his career)
Richie Guerin (do everything Knicks SG averaged 29.5/6.4/6.9 in 1962)
Walter Davis (hit the 20 PPG mark in six seasons and retired with 18.9 PPG on 51 FG%)
Allan Houston (sharpshooter retired with 17.3 PPG, 44.4 FG%, 40.2 3PT%, 86.3 FT%)
Jerry Sloan (made 6 All-Defensive teams and 2 All-Star teams in 12 year career)
Michael Cooper (5 time champion made 5 All-Defensive first teams and 3 second teams)
Jimmy Butler (Can score and defend, might be a useful wing defender in the later rounds)
Will put up forwards and centers soon. This is NOT a definitive list, feel free to add more, just thought it might be helpful for those making selections in the later rounds.

Dave Cowens – 7 time All-Star, 2 time champion, 1973 MVP, could score, rebound, pass and defend
Bill Walton – Played only a few seasons at peak, but what a peak it was. Dominated as a top defender, rebounder and passer who also had great touch around the hoop
Robert Parish – 9 time All-Star, 4 time champion, played 21 years in the league, could defend, rebound, score inside and shoot from the outside too
Wes Unseld – Never much of a scorer but this short but powerful center was a strong defender, a terrific rebounder and outlet passer and set the hardest picks ever. 5 time All-Star, 1969 MVP.
Bob Lanier – 8 time All-Star retired with career averages of 20.1 PPG and 10.1 RPG
Dwight Howard – Despite the criticism he receives still an 8 time All-Star and 3 time DPOY who in his prime was one of the most valuable players in the NBA.
Walt Bellamy – the other star center from the 60s, 4 time All-Star and Hall of Famer put up 20.1 PPG and 13.7 RPG in his career.
Brad Daugherty – 5 time All-Star could’ve gone down as one of the great centers of the 90s if back problems hadn’t ended his career at the age of 28. Career averages of 19 PPG, 9.5 RPG and 3.7 APG. Modern comparison for him would be Pau Gasol (without the longevity)
Ralph Sampson – played PF as well, a revolutionary big man with a highly skilled game, made 4 All-Star teams to start his career before injuries took their toll
Dan Issel – Undersized but highly skilled Hall of Famer who made 6 ABA All-Stars teams but just 1 NBA All-Star team despite averaging more than 20 PPG in six different seasons in the NBA. Career NBA averages of 20.4 PPG and 7.9 RPG in NBA, and 25.6 PPG and 10.9 RPG in ABA
Ben Wallace – Anemic offensively but a defensive force that made 4 All-Star teams and was a 4 time winner of the DPOY award.
Jack Sikma – 7 time All-Star was one of the first centers who could stretch the floor with his outside shooting, also a good rebounder and defender.
Bill Laimbeer – known for being dirty, he was also a good player made 4 All-Star teams and could rebound, defend and shoot from the mid range.
Mel Daniels – Only played one year in the NBA but he was drafted so he technically can be chosen. One of the greatest ABA players, he made 7 ABA All-Star teams, was a 2 time MVP and won 3 championships.
Kresimir Cosic – Never played in the NBA but neither did Oscar Schmidt. An All-American at BYU, depsite being drafted into the NBA he chose to play in Europe, widely considered along with Sabonis as the greatest big men in European history.
Mark Eaton – 7-4, 290 lb monster, made 5 All-Defensive teams, won 2 DPOY awards and retired as the NBA record holder in blocks per game with 3.5.
Marc Gasol – A massive center, and very good defender, who can shoot and is a very good passer, might be a decent fit pick for someone in the 5th round.
DeMarcus Cousins – I might get some negs for this but he’s a 2 time All-Star, has true center size and has averaged over 24 PPG and 11 RPG in each of the past two years which is pretty elite for a center of any era.
Neil Johnson – 6 time All-Star and Hall of Famer from the 50s who averaged 19.4 PPG and 11.3 RPG for his career.
Easy Ed Macauley – also played PF, the 6-8 big man from the 50s made 7 All-Star teams and 3 All-NBA first teams.

Easy Ed Macauley – also played PF, the 6-8 big man from the 50s made 7 All-Star teams and 3 All-NBA first teams.

dmo21ParticipantNot trying to 1 up you, just wanting to add some players that you misses so everyone has all the options to pick from while doing the draft. So here’s some extra big men:
PF: Bill Bridges (career stats: 12 PPG, 12 RPG, 3 APG, short, 2 time all NBA Defensive 2nd team)
PF: Bailey Howell (career stats: 19 PPG, 10 RPG, 2 APG)
PF: Shareef Abdur-Rahim (career stats: 18 PPG, 8 RPG, 3 APG)
C: Elmore Smith (career stats: 13 PPG, 11 RPG, 3 BPG)
C: Zelmo Beaty (career stats: 17 PPG, 11 RPG)
C: Swen Nater (career stats: 12 PPG, 12 RPG)
I also don’t have a problem with you including Cousins. He’s a really good player and should be included as he scores, rebounds, passes and can now shoot the 3. However, I am on the fence of including current players like Brook Lopez (career stats: 18 PPG, 7 RPG, 2 BPG) and Drummond (career stats: 13 PPG, 13 RPG, 2 BPG). They both have fairly decent stats right now, and I’d assume Drummond’s will only get better.

Absolutely I wasn’t trying to come up with a definitive list, just compile a pool of possible candidates and list them by position so that it’s easy for others to search for players once they are trying to fill in the last spots on each team.
I just wish I could edit my posts and add in the players you are mentioning.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantOnly 26 picks left in the All-Time Fantasy draft. Figured I’d provide a final breakdown of top players left (Assuming Rasheed was just picked). I’m looking at how many spots are open per position and then providing an additional five candidates. Also while my previous lists didn’t really have an order to them, these are my rankings based on all around play.
PG (4 spots open)
Lenny Wilkens
Chauncey Billups
Gail Goodrich
Calvin Murphy
Jo Jo White
Fat Lever
Michael Ray Richardson
Maurice Cheeks
Norm Van Lier
SG (4 spots open but 7 spots open if Chris Mullin, Bernard King and Dandridge slide to SF)
Eddie Jones/Latrell Sprewell (looks like one of them will go the Nets the other will still be available)
Bill Sharman
Brandon Roy
World B Free
Rolando Blackman
Jeff Malone
Walter Davis
Allan Houston
Alvin Robertson
Rip Hamilton
Jerry Sloan
Paul Westphal
SF (9 spots open but 10 if Clyde Drexler moves to SG)
Billy Cunningham
Jamaal Wilkes
Paul Arizin
Jack Twyman
Chet Walker
Marques Johnson
Peja Stojakovic
Mark Aguirre
George Yardley
Lou Hudson
Dan Majerle
Kiki Vandeweghe
John Drew (could have really been something without the cocaine addiction)
Detlef Schrempf
Bruce Bowen (might not be considered an All-Time great but as a pure 3 and D guy he might vault to the top of this list)
PF (8 spots open but 9 open if Marion moves to SF)
Connie Hawkins
Bobby Jones
Spencer Haywood
Buck Williams
Gus Johnson

ZachAttackParticipantAndrei Kirilenko and Mehmet Okur could be on the list. I also wouldn’t mind seeing KAT on the list or Simmons even. It’d be cool to see one of those guys get drafted based on potential only.
There are a couple more too such as Paul Azirin, Richard Jefferson used to be pretty good… That’s only a few that I can think of right now… But I will post more as I think of more.
