their starting team is ridiculously athletic, and they operate well in the break… we saw how kentucky last year constantly killed every one on the break and we’re looking at the same thing happening again net year.

harrow will be asked to push the break at will, something he is well capable of, using his quickness and handles to get some easy assist as opposed to the halfcourt setting.

goodwin is a beast on the break, pushing the break might be his most valuable asset, he handles it like a PT in those settings

poythress is a crazy athlete and is very well suited for the up-tempo style, filling the open lanes perfectly.

nerlens noel will even start a few fastbreaks, he actually has a feel for passing though he can very TO prone. there is absolutely no question he is better suited for an up-tempo offense.

This team might average 10 points a game off ally oops. Cauley stein, poythress, goodwin can throw down easily and while Noel is not nearly as complete of a basketball player as Anthony Davis, he’s just as long and may actually be a better athlete

Noel is gonna posterize people this year reguarly

Last year’s team was so mature, had great chemistry and sacrificed individual stats for the good of the team..I Doubt this year’s team will repeat that…..

i never suggested this team would play with maturity/ great chemistry and sacrificed individual stats.

what you can book is, they will get in the break just as much as they did last year and maybe even more.

think about it: harrow’s just as quick as teague and not a freshman (i remember teague making simple rookie mistakes on the break), goodwinn can start a fast break 10x better than doron lamb. and nerlens has underrated ball handling skills.

I don’t see as many leaders on this team…Darius Miller will be sorely missed.

darrius miller will be sorely missed, but it won’t be because of his leadership skills, as those were almost absent.  he had a lot of confidence issues and never, ever demanded better out of his team. he was a fantastic all around player, though.  i see UK, as someone else said, having 5-7 losses.  i’d like to say they’re going to be overrated next year but NCAA as a whole aint so good.

i do agree, though. leadership will be at a minimum. expect goodwin to be a vocal leader.  i live in lexington and that’s the buzz.

This team will have at least 5 losses going into March Madness and will not make the Elite 8.  Overhyped to the extreme.

Coach Cal plays disciplined basketball though. Look at how limited he had Cousins and Davis play while at UK.

One of the most athletic teams in the Country is San Diego State. (Youtube them!) Jamaal Franklin, Dwayne Polee and Deshawn Stephens all have major bounce!
