the ucla bruins will be top 25 this year

the bruins will bounce back. I have them finishing second in the pac 10 to washington. They might not be ranked preseason, but the voters will realize real quick. Tyler honeycutt and reeves nelson are both gonna breakout big time. Honeycutt is a do everything sf who can impact games without much scoring. Nelson is as tough as anyone i have seen at ucla and many people compare him to jon brockman. Add in malcolm Lee who is a very solid combo gaurd and you have 3 guys that i think will make all-conference first or second team.

The recruiting class is ranked number 1 in the confernce by many. It is headlined by big man and mcdonalds all-american josh smith who will provide an inside force. Sg Tyler Lamb is a top 50 recruit who plays similar to former bruin arron afflalo. His permiiter skills are a work in progress but he really is tough defensively and attacks the rim hard. They also have the number 1 juco pg in the country in lazeric jones from chicago coming in. I haven't seen much of him but a friend of mine involved with the bruins says the coaching staff is very high on him and a few sites say he should start from day 1.

Jeremie andersen and brendan lane will provide some depth. The team losses their two best shooters in mike roll and nikola dragovic, but neither of those guys were very good defensively and what the bruins lose in shooting will be replaced with their customary defense that howland has made a part of the bruin blueprint for success in recent years.

the non conference schedule includes games against Kansas, BYU, St Johns as well as the pre-season NIT which features potential opponents in villanova, wake forest and tennessee.

Yeah..The entire PAC-10 had a

Yeah..The entire PAC-10 had a down year last season..
The Pac-10 Conference was ranked almost last in Power Rankings & RPI in the Nation
Only Washington & Cal made The Big Dance..
The last time the PAC-10 had that low amount in the Tournament was in 1988..
Things might be looking up this year in the Conference..
Becuz 7 of the 10 teams return at least 3 starters...

I think if UCLA come out of those preseason games with a winning record...
That will give them confidence for the rest of the season..

the pac 10 is still gonna be

the pac 10 is still gonna be down this next year and possibly the worst of the big 6. But it is improved from last year for sure. I think 3 teams should defenitely make the tournament this year (wash, ucla, arizona) and both wash st and ariz st have a chance as well. The other 5 are still really mediocre and going through a rebuilding stage.
