The Scare Crow RisesParticipantWhy would you do that when Coach K(Team USA coach) and every other Coach/basketball mind would start the older more proven player…It shows you have some bias for the Hype

lisergxParticipantWhy is Jonas Valanciunas on the roster and not Derrick Favors or Greg Monroe, he hasn’t even played an NBA game.

aamir543ParticipantWell, Over 25 yes, but it’s not that bad if you look at it matchups wise.
Rose and Westbrook(I started him over Harden) vs Paul and Kobe in the backcourts. Over 25 has hte slight edge, but it’s extremely close adn you could go either way. Lebron vs Durant, advantage Lebron, but we all know these are in my opinion the two best players in the league. At PF you have Love vs Dirk, You could go either way, but Love is a relentless rebounder and is only getting better, but Dirk is still absolutly amazing, I still think Dirk is going to be at an elite level for at least 2-3 years. And then Bynum vs Howard, advantage Howard, but Bynum is no snub and clearly is the more superior offensive post player.
So as for the starters, although Over 25 has the advantage, it’s really close, Under 25’s starting lineup is nothing to sneeze at.
Now off the bench Over 25 definatly has more of the advantage off the bench, Melo is clearly superior to anyone off the Under 25 bench, Irving is really good, but you gotta give Rondo the nod there, D-Wade is on the downside of his career, but a healthy D-Wade is still good for 25 a game, you give him the advantage over Harden.
Cousins, Griffin, and Davis against The Gasol brothers and Bosh is really close as well, I know the younger guys are unproven, but I really like Ant Davis and Griffin’s athleticism, and Cousins is a beast inside, but the Over 25 bigs’ ability to knock dwon teh midrange jumper is what sets them apart, but it’s pretty close overall.
That leaves Pierce, Thompson and Valanciunas, and it’s pretty obvious whose the superior player there.
Overall, OVer 25 is no doubt better, but I’d say it’d be about a 10 point game, because Under 25 does have the talent as well, but as Spain saw on Tuesday, Anthony along with Kobe and Lebron can dominate.

tli232Under 23 vs. Older than 33. I think you’d get some interesting matchups there

thparadoxParticipantLet’s do sensible starting line-ups
PG – Rose
SG – Harden/Westbrook
SF – Durant
PF – Love
C – Bynum
Bench: ( Harden/westbrook, Griffin, Greg Monroe, Ryan Anderson, Al Horford, Ty Lawson, Ricky Rubio, Kyrie Irving)
PG – CP3
SG – Wade
SF – Lebron
PF – Gasol
C – Howard
Bench (Chandler, Kobe, Ginobili, Marc Gasol, Millsap, Iguodala., KG, Parker)
Over 25 wins because Lebron is so dominant. Over 25 is better at PG, SG and SF. But I think under 25 is slightly better on the interior.
