Im calling the little man to be the steal of the draft. Hes already signed a guaranteed contract to that equal to a late first round pic and is showing everyone just how fiesty he is at his small stature in the summer league so far and has his boy bookers back with the vonleh shove. I know its just the summer league, but anyone who watched him play at all last season could see this coming, hes doing nothing new. Hes being the ultimate floor general w a 19/2 Assist to turnover ratio while not backing down to anyone playing intense d (9 steals thru 3 games) and most importantly putting the ball thru the hoop. He stays a step ahead of the defender and sets up his teammates sometimes even when they arent expecting it, resulting in an easy 2 or open shot. He just makes the game look easy. This was my favorite from last night vine.co/v/577M32OhP7O

Im curious to see what the suns do with their guard rotation/logjam and who they end up moving during the season because ulis deserves some minutes. Its a good situation to be in for the suns w their accumulation of young talented guards with a young HC

I’m a big UK fan and here in Lexington a reporter asked everyone on the 38-1 team that lost to Wisconsin who would you want to go to war with and everyone answered Tyler Ulis.

Regarding that 2014 UK recruiting class you have

      Trey Lyles

      Tyler Ulis

      KAT

      Devin Booker

Lyles and Booker have been tearing it up in the summer league with Booker a questionable participant after the stats he threw up in his rookie campaign. Lyles was no scrub last season when he actually got minutes which is hard to do when youre behind favors and stifle tower, and he still looks to have the potential to be a breakout performer in year 2. KATs a superstar and ulis is just getting started

LOOKING BACK, is this the greatest class from a single school in terms of current and future NBA production? 2 future stars and possible 2 up-rising ones? 3 formidible nba starters and too early to tell w ulis?

Back in May and everyone seemed to disagree. I think the SL is meaningless but I do agree Ulis can flat out ball. He just knows how to play and at Kentucky no doubt he was the best player on that team last year. Dropped 30 on Indiana but the unathletic Murray was like 1/8 from 3. Someone said Ulis isn’t a good defender because "his defensive rating was second worst on the team to Murray." I laughed – that guy clearly doesn’t know basketball. D rating anyways is an estimate and should be taken with a grain of salt. Dude won conference POY and DPOY – no one wanted ulis guarding them. He did great work on Yogi against IU but Thoas Bryant and Anunoby killed UK

Phoenix is a perfect fit for Ulis. What a great selection by Ryan McDonough. He already has a role and relationship with these Kentucky one and dones and a guy like Booker will immediately respond to his leadership. You gotta think Bledsoe or Knight will be on the move soon but I wouldn’t rule out the Suns going with Bledsoe, Knight, and Booker all starting.
